First established in 1985, the Danish brand has long been synonymous with uncompromising design and sonic purity. The new amplifier honours the vision of founder Flemming E. Rasmussen while reflecting the modern design philosophy led by Chief Designer Tom Møller.

Built on the formidable foundation of the acclaimed Diablo 333, the Gryphon 40 blends heritage and innovation. While its circuitry and performance draw on the 333’s engineering breakthroughs, its exterior and mechanical design have been re-imagined to echo Rasmussen’s original aesthetic ideals — a bridge between Gryphon’s past and its future.

Flemming E. Rasmussen’s design DNA and Tom Møller’s technical precision converge here, creating what Gryphon describes as both a statement piece and a collector’s heirloom.

Each amplifier will arrive with a leather-bound owner’s manual, a personal 40th-anniversary letter from Rasmussen, and a hand-signed sketch of one of his original design concepts — details that underscore its commemorative status.

The Gryphon 40 follows a remarkable lineage: the Diablo 250, launched in 2004, redefined what an integrated amplifier could be; the Diablo 333 built on that reputation with even greater refinement. The 40th-anniversary edition now takes that evolution further, combining Gryphon’s latest amplifier technology with an unmistakable visual homage to its origins.

A global anniversary campaign will roll out across Gryphon’s social media channels in the coming weeks, celebrating both the product and the company’s 40-year legacy of Danish audio excellence.

Only a limited number of units will be produced, with orders accepted through 31 December 2025. Pricing is set at €23,800 | A$39,995 | £27,995.
