The Telos 2800 mono amplifier joins the recently announced Telos 1800 and monstrous Telos 8800 power amps along with the Applause Award-winning Telos 590 NextGen II integrated.

Goldmund tells us that "this state-of-the-art amplifier redefines the standards of sound quality and precision" and that the Telos 2800 delivers a maximum power output of 450 Wrms on 8 Ω with 1% THD, which isn't too shabby.

Those figures are bolstered by an almost nonexistent distortion level quoted as 0.05% IMD (SMPTE) and THD+N, unloaded, from 20 Hz to 20 kHz at 30 Vrms output. Meanwhile, we are told that the input noise floor is below 3 μV from 20 Hz to 20 kHz.
Further notable measurements from the Telos 2800 spec sheet include a gain of 35 dB and a dynamic range of 110 dB within a 22 kHz measurement bandwidth.

Goldmund adds that thanks to a damping factor of 600 at 1 kHz / 8 Ω, audiophiles should delight in the amplifier's ability to control speaker drivers for precise audio output.
Under the hood of the 32 x 44 x 46cm (HxWxD), 59 kg Telos 2800 sits a 3200 VA toroidal power transformer complemented by a colossal custom Goldmund capacitor bank of 109,600 µF. The Swiss high-end audio brand tells us that these enhancements improve the dynamics and speed of the amplifier.

To ensure cool running, the Telos 2800 also benefits from a significant improvement in heat dissipation. A new CNC machined heat sink covers the entire rear panel of the amplifier, allowing more surface area to dissipate the heat generated by the power supply.

Finally, the rear panel is elegantly outfitted with an array of analogue and digital inputs, ensuring seamless compatibility with a diverse spectrum of audio sources.
Goldmund told StereoNET:
The Telos 2800 Mono Amplifier is not just a product; it's a testament to our commitment to audio excellence.
