GoldenEar Joins Paradigm and MartinLogan

PML Sound International, owners of Paradigm, Anthem, and MartinLogan, have acquired GoldenEar Technology.

Effective January 1, 2025, GoldenEar will join PML Sound International and operate under its new identity, GoldenEar Studio Inc.

The brand released a statement that reads:

To ensure a smooth transition, GoldenEar will temporarily pause business operations from January 1, 2025, to January 31, 2025. During this period, GoldenEar orders will not be processed or fulfilled. PML's business operations will remain unaffected and continue to deliver high-quality audio products and customer service.

When the Quest Group acquired GoldenEar in 2020, it did so because the company felt a kinship with the brand and "a shared focus on audiophile performance."

Alongside AudioQuest at shows, GoldenEar products have been introduced to new markets and met with enthusiasm. Moving forward, AudioQuest will undoubtedly return to its focus on developing high-performance cables, power products, and audio/video accessories.

Meanwhile, GoldenEar's acquisition leverages PML's engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities to enhance GoldenEar's product offerings and market presence.

We're told that PML aims to preserve and build upon GoldenEar's legacy of delivering exceptional audio experiences, ensuring product quality and innovation continuity.

Badar Qureshi, President of PML Sound International, told StereoNET:

This acquisition helps us strengthen our commitment to quality audio experiences and offers an opportunity to expand our global reach. We're looking forward to welcoming GoldenEar's talented team and loyal customers, and we remain dedicated to maintaining the high standards and innovative spirit that define the GoldenEar brand. This acquisition is focused specifically on enhancing GoldenEar's brand and expanding its market presence.

While the Quest Group did get GoldenEar in front of plenty of people, it is exciting to see it now stabled with other loudspeaker brands with access to Paradigm's innovation and MartinLogan's electrostatic excellence. From where we're sitting, the future looks bright for GoldenEar.
