Fyne Audio F55E Floorstander Broadens IsoFlare’s Reach

Fyne Audio expands its F500E range with the new F55E floorstander, offering IsoFlare point-source precision and floor-standing scale at its most affordable yet.

Fyne Audio’s F55E 2.5-way compact floorstander features IsoFlare point-source technology and the BassTrax diffuser system, offering full-range performance in Fyne's most accessible design yet.

The entry-level F500E Series launched earlier this year (below), marking a major milestone for Fyne Audio as it became an all-IsoFlare brand. Now, all seven ranges, encompassing over 60 models, are built around the brand’s patented point-source driver technology, with the F55E completing the lineup.

Measuring a discreet 925x210x236mm [HxWxD], the F55E is ideal for small and medium rooms with limited space but high musical ambitions.

Anji Sosna, Managing Director of Fyne Audio, said of the F55E:

It delivers the refinement, delicacy, and imaging precision of a small stand-mount speaker, but with the body, bass weight, and scale of a floorstander. It does without taking up any more space than a stand-mount and stand.

Despite its compact size, it promises impressive heft thanks to a 5-inch IsoFlare driver and a downward-firing port with BassTrax Tractrix diffuser. This design provides strong low-end authority at this price, and the 360-degree LF output makes room integration effortless. Fyne says it’s capable of a typical in-room (-6dB) frequency response of 42Hz-38kHz, with a sensitivity of 88dB (2.83V @ 1m) and a nominal impedance of 8 ohms.

The F55E’s 5-inch IsoFlare integrates a multi-fibre mid/bass cone with a titanium dome compression tweeter. The multi-fibre paper cone, selected for fast, natural midrange response, is coupled to the brand’s distinctive FyneFlute surround. Meanwhile, the titanium HF diaphragm is powered by a neodymium magnet motor and is coupled to a carefully shaped waveguide.

These components are mounted concentrically to share a single acoustic centre. This design ensures that all frequencies radiate from the same point in space, producing a perfectly time-aligned wavefront for pinpoint imaging and natural coherence across the entire frequency spectrum.

Complementing the IsoFlare driver is another 125mm bass driver, augmented by a BassTrax Tractrix diffuser system, which transforms the energy from the floor-firing port into a smooth 360-degree low-frequency wavefront. This patented design naturally distributes bass energy evenly in all directions, and is said to result in deep, articulate bass that is far less sensitive to positioning.

Following the rest of the F500E Series stable, the F55E’s cabinet utilises high-density MDF, internal bracing, and acoustic damping to minimise colouration and cabinet resonance. We are assured that, despite its entry-level position, the F55E is every bit a Fyne Audio design with its expected build quality, proportions, and engineering detail all allowing music to shine through.

Available now in Black Oak finish, with a Walnut option arriving early in 2026, the F55E is priced at £899.99 | € 1,199.99 | US$1,099.99 per pair in either finish.
