The Japanese cable and accessories specialist says the Project V1-LAN brings the same engineering priorities found in its Project V1 power cord, V1-L interconnect, V1-T tonearm cable and V1-S speaker cable to network audio applications. The cable is aimed at listeners seeking improved resolution, transparency, and signal stability from digital sources and streaming systems.

Built to Category 8 specifications, the Project V1-LAN supports 40 Gigabit Ethernet operation and frequencies up to 2000 MHz. Furutech also notes improved crosstalk and noise performance, while maintaining backwards compatibility with Category 7 and Category 6 networks.

At the heart of the design are silver-plated OCC conductors treated with Furutech’s two-stage Alpha process, which combines cryogenic treatment with ring demagnetisation. According to the company, the process is intended to optimise conductivity, reduce distortion and preserve low-level signal information.

Furutech has also incorporated its NCF — Nano Crystal² Formula — technology into the cable’s construction. The material is designed to suppress static, resonance and electrical noise, with the goal of allowing more micro-detail, dynamic contrast and spatial information to come through.

The cable uses a multi-layer build that combines high-grade insulation, vibration-damping materials and extensive shielding. Furutech specifies a five-layer shielding system, double-layer outer sleeve and hollow-tube fillers to reduce external interference and mechanical resonance. A specially engineered damping ring is included to improve grip and mechanical stability.

The Project V1-LAN’s RJ45 plugs and damping rings also use Furutech’s NCF material together with high-grade nylon insulation. The connector conductors are made from Alpha-treated copper alloy with 24k gold plating, while the housings feature a four-layer hybrid NCF carbon-fibre structure finished with a hardened clear damping coating.

Furutech positions the V1-LAN as a premium upgrade for networked audio systems where the digital signal path is treated as a key part of overall system performance. The company says the design is intended to deliver a quieter transmission environment and a more coherent, realistic presentation.

The Furutech Project V1-LAN is available now, with all cable lengths custom-built to order. Example pricing is £3,050 including VAT for a 1.2m length.
