Positioned alongside the brand’s Project V1 power cord, V1-L interconnects, and V1-T tonearm cable, the V1-S is billed as Furutech’s ultimate expression of speaker cable design. It’s aimed squarely at audiophiles and industry professionals who refuse to compromise on signal integrity.

At the core of the V1-S is a precisley engineered three-layer hybrid conductor structure, combining Furutech’s silver-coated, Alpha-treated Ohno Cast Copper (OCC) with Mitsubishi’s Ultra Crystallised High Purity Copper (DUCC). The DUCC material, known for its ultra-low impurity levels, is among the purest oxygen-free copper types currently available.
Both conductors undergo Furutech’s proprietary two-stage ‘Alpha’ cryogenic and demagnetisation process, which the company claims significantly enhances conductivity. The cable is also triple-shielded and double-insulated to preserve signal purity, while a precision-designed cable clamp further minimises distortion by ensuring optimal mechanical stability.

As with other models in the Project Series, Furutech’s Nano Crystal² Formula (NCF) technology plays a key role. Developed in-house, NCF is said to suppress mechanical vibrations and electromagnetic interference, helping deliver a blacker background and improved dynamic contrast.
Even the connector bodies and damping rings are constructed from Furutech’s NCF Liquid Crystal Polymer Resin—an advanced composite material blending NCF with nylon and fibreglass for added insulation and damping performance.

Externally, the cable’s multi-layer jacket includes a vibration-damping layer to combat airborne and mechanical noise. Connector options include spade and banana terminations, featuring pure copper conductors plated in rhodium, with a one-piece construction and non-magnetic properties.
According to Furutech, the result is a speaker cable that offers an immersive, highly detailed listening experience, allowing high-end systems to perform at their best.

The Project V1-S is available now in a standard 2.5m length, priced at £10,200. Pricing and availability for other regions will be confirmed soon.
