Clearaudio Grounding & Power Supplies Upgrade Your Vinyl Listening

Clearaudio's new Professional Power and Terra Grounding turntable power solutions promise to "supercharge your vinyl-listening experience."
German analogue audio specialist Clearaudio has introduced a trio of turntable upgrades in the shape of its new Professional Power 12V/24V power supplies and Terra Grounding Box.

Designed to significantly improve the sound quality of your turntable and hi-fi set-up, the Professional Power 12V and Professional Power 24V are a pair of turntable power supply upgrades. Meanwhile, the Terra Grounding Box aims to eliminate ground loops and electromagnetic interference in your hi-fi system.
CLEARAUDIO TERRA
Electronic devices in your home can generate unwanted high-frequency interference that impacts sound quality. Often, the source of annoying hums is faulty or missing grounding within your hi-fi set-up. Clearaudio's Terra Grounding Box aims to mitigate this by acting as a central connection point that reliably eliminates ground loops.

We're told that Terra's cylindrical 93x91x147mm (HxWxD) anodised aluminium casing is filled with a "special type of sand". This is said to dampen vibrations and electromagnetic interference, ensuring pure sound quality. A plug connected to the protective earth ensures grounding occurs via the socket without a direct connection to the mains power. This provides additional safety and prevents unwanted interference, says the brand.

The rear of the Terra Grounding Box offers three connections for direct grounding (grounded) and three additional connections with potential difference (ground lifted), allowing you to tailor the set-up to your specific needs. Three high-quality grounding cables are bundled with the Terra.
PROFESSIONAL POWER
The new Clearaudio Professional Power 12V and Professional 24V are transformer-based, stabilised power supplies pitched as notable upgrades to standard designs supplied with the brands' turntables, bridging the price/performance gap of Clearaudio's flagship Smart Power range.

The Professional Power 12V is designed to partner with Clearaudio's Concept and Performance DC turntables, while the Professional Power 24V replaces the previous version for the Innovation and Ovation models.
Both designs boast professional-grade components and a resonance-optimised transformer to ensure no mechanical interference is transferred.

Clearaudio states they provide improved filtering, cleaner power, and increased headroom, driving smoother turntable motor performance and extended reserves. The resulting improvements in sound quality are significant.

Clearaudio's Terra Grounding Box, Professional Power 12V and Professional Power 24V are available now in black or silver aluminium as an upgrade for existing Clearaudio owners or an option when choosing a new Clearaudio turntable.
Terra has a suggested retail price of £900/€990/$1,200, while Professional Power 12V has an SRP of £540/€590/$800, and Professional Power 24V comes in at £900/€990/$1,200.
