In September 2010 Colleen imagined the concept.

It never crossed my mind that the event I had fantasised about, shaped from a teenage-hood spent listening to records in my room, record shops and a 10-watt radio station, would have lasted beyond a few months.

Ideas quickly sprang to action and a few weeks later, the van and babysitter had been booked, the crew assembled, our living room hi-fi dissembled and I found myself schlepping vinyl, audio equipment and an oil lamp up the stairs to The Hanbury Arms function room. What was I thinking?

To say it took off would be an understatemet with regular events now happening in New York City, Glasgow, Tokyo, Oslo, Edinburgh, Portland, Kansas City, Boston, Brussels, Amsterdam, Brighton, Los Angeles, and now Sydney, Australia.

The first ever Sydney event will be held on Sunday (naturally) November 27th, from 5 -8 PM at The World Bar.

Tickets are available at the door for $15 and the event will feature Prince's 'Sign O The Times', presented by Jean-Philippe Ducharne and Jim Poe (Bondi Beach Radio).

For the HiFi enthusiast, Leichardt based specialsts Audio Connection will be taking take of the hardware, featuring a Linn Majik 140 system with a Clearaudio Performance DC turntable.
