The launch follows renewed attention around the brand last year when Canton revived its flagship Reference Alpha series, signalling a wider push back into the premium loudspeaker conversation. As we reported at the time, the return of the Alpha Series marked a significant statement piece for the German manufacturer, positioning Canton once again among high-end loudspeaker heavyweights.
The new Vento Series takes a different approach. Rather than chasing ultra-flagship territory, Canton appears focused on blending contemporary living-room aesthetics with a more accessible premium hi-fi offering.

According to Canton, the new range has been designed around “a perfect balance of design, sound, and precision”, with the company placing strong emphasis on the relationship between cabinet geometry and acoustic performance.
Canton Technical Director Frank Göbl says the development process centred on refinement and precision rather than dramatic reinvention:
Great sound doesn't happen by chance — it comes from dedication, precision, and a willingness to scrutinize every detail.
At the centre of the redesign is a new curved multi-layer MDF enclosure featuring Canton’s signature “bow” shape, rounded cabinet edges and softened transitions intended to reduce diffraction effects while giving the speakers a more furniture-like appearance.

The company says the cabinet structure itself plays a major acoustic role, with the multi-layer construction engineered to reduce enclosure vibration and unwanted resonances across a broad frequency range.
Visually, the biggest change is the new front plate design surrounding the tweeter assembly. Canton has kept its familiar circular tweeter arrangement, but it now sits within a square outer form that gives the new Vento range a cleaner, more contemporary appearance than earlier generations.

Underneath the styling changes sit revised drive units and waveguide technologies. The new series uses Canton’s ATB (Aluminium Titanium Black) drivers, which the company says are designed to behave as controlled piston-type drivers with reduced breakup behaviour at higher output levels. While high frequencies are handled by a ceramic dome tweeter system paired with optimised dispersion characteristics intended to improve spatial imaging and reduce harshness.

Canton also appears to be leaning more heavily into room-friendly bass loading approaches this time around. The floorstanding models use a downfire bass reflex system that couples low frequencies to the floor for more even room distribution, while the compact bookshelf models adopt a rear-firing bass reflex design for easier integration into smaller spaces.
Importantly, the Vento Series is no longer just a stereo proposition. The range has been developed as a complete ecosystem spanning stereo, surround and immersive audio applications, with dedicated centre speakers, subwoofers and Dolby Atmos modules included from launch. That broader positioning reflects a wider shift currently occurring across premium loudspeaker brands, where traditional two-channel hi-fi increasingly overlaps with home cinema and mixed-use entertainment spaces.

The lineup currently includes the Vento 81, 91 and 101 floorstanders, Vento 21 and 31 standmounts, the Vento 51 centre speaker, Vento Sub 1 subwoofer, Vento 11 wall speaker, and the Vento AR 1 Dolby Atmos module. Pricing in Europe is listed per speaker rather than per pair, something buyers will want to note carefully.
