Bluesound’s PULSE CINEMA Soundbars Bring Dolby Atmos to Any Room

Bluesound has unveiled two new streaming soundbars designed to redefine home entertainment audio.

The PULSE CINEMA and PULSE CINEMA MINI represent a complete overhaul of the company’s earlier designs, combining Dolby Atmos immersion, clean styling, and the brand’s BluOS multi-room platform into two distinct sizes.

The flagship PULSE CINEMA has been engineered as a full-blown home theatre contender. At 47 inches wide, it’s designed for TVs 55 inches and up. It has a 16-driver array that includes a dedicated centre channel, dual 4-inch woofers, and upfiring speakers for true Dolby Atmos height effects. With 500 watts of total system power on tap, Bluesound claims the bar delivers a 3D soundstage with dynamics and clarity rarely seen in this category.

By contrast, the more compact PULSE CINEMA MINI is tailored for smaller living spaces, bedrooms, and secondary TVs. Despite its 33-inch chassis, it packs a punch with 280 watts of amplification and dual 4-inch woofers. The driver layout includes angled units that help spread sound wider than the cabinet’s footprint, while virtualised Atmos processing gives a taste of height effects even without upfiring drivers. Bluesound will also offer the MINI in two finishes: a stealthier black/dark grey grille or a lighter white/tan option.
Matt Simmonds, Product Manager at Bluesound, commented on the new release:
We wanted to build soundbars that didn’t just sound great—they needed to be beautifully simple to use.
Both soundbars reflect Bluesound’s “Simple AV” philosophy — the idea that audiophile-grade sound shouldn’t require bulky receivers, racks of gear, or messy cabling. Smart DSP handles automatic orientation detection, so performance is optimised whether the bar is wall-mounted or sitting beneath a TV. HDMI eARC, optical and RCA inputs, AirPlay 2, and two-way Bluetooth mean compatibility is covered without clutter.

Morten Nielsen, Associate Product Manager at Bluesound, added:
The true beauty of these products is they remove friction in both setup and daily use. We focused on building an elegant, low-profile form with our latest acoustic architecture, so users don’t have to compromise between aesthetics and sound quality.
At the heart of both models is BluOS, Bluesound’s multi-room streaming platform. This platform unlocks 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution audio playback, MQA support, and access to over 20 streaming services, including TIDAL, Qobuz, Spotify, and Amazon Music. The BluOS Controller app on iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows gives intuitive multi-room control, while integration with Control4, Crestron, and RTI keeps smart home installers happy.
Crucially, the soundbars aren’t locked into a one-box role. Pairing them with Bluesound’s PULSE SUB+ and stereo speakers unlocks wireless surround capability, building a discrete multi-channel system without an AVR at the centre. Both bars also include a subwoofer output for wired or wireless expansion for those who want more impact.

Simmonds summarised the philosophy behind the new models as follows:
We’ve always believed performance and simplicity aren’t mutually exclusive. With these two new soundbars, we’re giving Bluesound customers and integrators more flexibility with a clear upgrade path to better TV sound.
Both the PULSE CINEMA and PULSE CINEMA MINI will be available for pre-order globally from 24 September 2025, with shipping beginning on 24 October 2025. Pricing is as follows, with additional regional pricing to be confirmed shortly.
PULSE CINEMA — US$1,499 | £1,149 | €1,299
PULSE CINEMA MINI — US$999 | £799 | €899

Bluesound’s first wave of soundbars carved out a niche among music-first listeners looking for more than a TV speaker upgrade. With the new PULSE CINEMA range, the brand looks set to strengthen that position — offering a choice between serious Dolby Atmos firepower and a compact, design-friendly option that doesn’t skimp on performance.
