AU SHOW: Sonus faber, McIntosh, Audio Research & More Star in Synergy Audio Visual Lineup

Across multiple systems in rooms 1207 and 1311, visitors can expect to hear the latest from Sonus faber, McIntosh, Audio Research, Rega, REL, Aurender, and more—each chosen for their sonic performance and how well they complement one another in a complete system.

The Italian-made Sonus faber Guarneri G5 loudspeakers take centre stage in the main system. These standmount monitors are revered for their artisanal craftsmanship and spacious soundstage, tonal depth, and refined expressiveness. Low-frequency reinforcement comes from a pair of REL S/510 subwoofers, carefully integrated to enhance scale and slam without muddying the midrange or sacrificing musical agility.

Amplification is handled by an Audio Research 100-S solid-state power amplifier, well known for it's dynamic drive and clarity. This will be partnered with the Audio Research LS3 preamplifier, offering subtle warmth and transparency, letting the system breathe and revealing microdetail with finesse.

For vinyl enthusiasts, the Rega Planar 10 turntable with Apheta 3 MC cartridge promises to dig deep into the grooves, retrieving texture and timing with near-effortless precision. That signal flows through Rega’s flagship Aura MC phono stage—an extremely low-noise design built to handle reference-level cartridges with neutrality and grace. Digital duties, meanwhile, are covered by the Aurender ACS10, combining high-resolution playback with built-in CD ripping and advanced library management. Supporting gear includes Chord Company cables from the Music, Sarum T, Epic and Signature ranges, with component isolation and presentation courtesy of Quadraspire’s SVT rack system.
In a second setup, Synergy Audio will demonstrate the impact and authority of the McIntosh MA5500 streaming integrated amplifier, delivering 125 watts per channel of classic McIntosh muscle. It’s paired with Sonus faber’s Sonetto V floorstanding loudspeakers, offering a lively, detailed performance across genres, with a broad soundstage and smooth, engaging tonality. Adding visual flair and low-end extension, a bold Blue and Yellow duo of REL T/9x SE subwoofers rounds out the system, providing deep, tight bass with speed and control.

This system also includes the MoFi American Vintage turntable, a design that blends heritage styling with modern engineering—a nod to vinyl’s ongoing resurgence. Cabling from Chord’s Shawline and Signature lines ensures signal integrity throughout, and all components are neatly housed on a Quadraspire Q4L rack.

Synergy will also present a dedicated Ruark Audio display, offering visitors a look at the British brand’s evolving range. The newly released 100 Series will feature alongside classic models, showcasing both updated finishes and new product introductions. For those less familiar with Ruark, this is a chance to experience firsthand the company's distinct blend of design-led aesthetics and sonically engaging performance.
