AU SHOW: Musical Fidelity, Triangle & Stax Star in Audio Marketing’s Line-Up

Musical Fidelity, Triangle and Stax will headline Audio Marketing’s Melbourne Hi-Fi Show line-up, set to deliver a star performance that blends heritage hi-fi with cutting-edge design.
Sydney-based distributor Audio Marketing is shaping up to make a strong statement at the show. It will showcase a carefully curated cast of brands, including Musical Fidelity, Triangle, Inakustik, and Stax. Visitors can expect a compelling production of classic hi-fi values and modern engineering, all playing out across two locations at the event.

Taking centre stage in room 1315 will be the new Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 600.2 integrated amplifier, a powerhouse that builds on the brand’s revered nuvistor tube legacy with its considerable 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms headroom. This amplifier will drive Triangle’s Magellan Quatuor 40th Anniversary floorstanders, which mark four decades of the French brand’s flagship loudspeaker line with refined crossovers, upgraded cabinetry and unmistakable dynamic French flair.

Supporting roles go to the analogue front end, with the Musical Fidelity M8xTT turntable, a substantial dual-motor design inspired by the brand’s iconic decks of the past, feeding into the freshly launched Nu-Vista Vinyl.2 phono stage. All of it is wired up with Inakustik Reference Air cabling, setting the scene for show-goers to hear precisely what this high-end ensemble can deliver.

For those curious about where premium hi-fi meets modern convenience, Triangle’s Capella active wireless speakers will also be on show, ready to prove that even a compact bookshelf system — complete with built-in DACs and amplification — can deliver a standout performance in both clarity and scale. These speakers have already struck a chord with listeners in Europe and beyond, praised for combining genuine hi-fi prowess with the flexibility of a streaming lifestyle system.

StereoNET’s Jay Garrett spent time with the Capella at Triangle HQ during the product launch, coming away impressed by their balance of musicality, power and sleek design — all of which should translate brilliantly to the Melbourne show floor.

Meanwhile, in the show’s dedicated headphones area, Headzones, supported by Minidisc.com.au, the spotlight will swing to Stax, with the newly updated SR-007s electrostatic ‘earspeakers’ taking the lead. Also appearing will be the ultimate Stax showcase, pairing the flagship SR-X9000 with the SRM-T8000 hybrid tube amplifier, offering headphone enthusiasts a taste of truly reference-grade electrostatic listening that’s sure to steal the show.
The StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show takes place August 29-31 at the Pullman Melbourne Albert Park. Full show details and tickets are available via the link below.
