Sonus faber has unveiled the Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition at Monterey Car Week — the week-long automotive festival on California’s Monterey Peninsula where concours lawns, coastal roads, and luxury villas play host to the rarest classics, wildest concepts, and most exclusive launches in the motoring world. Equal parts high society and high-octane, it’s where collectors, manufacturers, and enthusiasts converge for auctions, unveilings, and once-in-a-lifetime drives. Against this backdrop of design and performance, Sonus faber’s ultra-limited loudspeaker will be produced in just 50 individually numbered pairs worldwide.

The launch marks the second act in the relationship between Sonus faber and Automobili Lamborghini, following their work together on the Revuelto plug-in hybrid supercar, for which Sonus faber engineered a bespoke in-car audio system to match the car’s performance credentials.

The Il Cremonese Ex3me – Lamborghini Edition is offered in five Lamborghini-inspired finishes, each with a story rooted in the marque’s design history. Giallo Countach may be the most recognisable, forever linked to the original Lamborghini Countach that redefined the supercar silhouette in the 1970s and adorned countless bedroom posters. Arancio Egon is a bold monochromatic orange that first turned heads on the Urus SE launch, part of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam palette and a statement in colour design. Blu Marinus Matte, Verde Mercurius, and Nero Nemesis Matte complete the line-up, translating a Lamborghini’s road presence into a finish that feels equally at home on an acoustic sculpture.

Jim Mollica, Chief Marketing Officer and President of Luxury Audio at Bose Corporation (Sonus faber’s parent), said:

“Listening to music, much like driving, is a multi-sensory and emotional experience. With the Il Cremonese Ex3me – Automobili Lamborghini Edition, we’re bringing the craftsmanship of high-performance sound and the precision of automotive design into the home.”

Based on Sonus faber’s award-winning Ex3me, the Lamborghini Edition retains the distinctive five-sided “diamond” cabinet and hand-finished woodwork but introduces Lamborghini-inspired details including carbon fibre accents, Corsa-Tex® trim, and the Automobili Lamborghini shield. Each pair is fine-tuned by ear in Vicenza to ensure the same emotionally engaging performance the brand is known for.

Inside, it’s a 3.5-way para-aperiodic vented design. High frequencies are delivered by a 30 mm Diamond-Like-Carbon coated beryllium dome tweeter, which the company says offers exceptional detail and microdynamics with a resonant frequency above 35 kHz. The midrange comes from a 180 mm natural-fibre cone driver crafted from air-dried cellulose, Kapok, and Kenaf for Sonus faber’s signature warmth and realism. Dual 180 mm sandwich-cone woofers handle bass, while side-mounted 220 mm nanocarbon-fibre infrawoofers in sealed reflex chambers extend low-frequency reach to 25 Hz.

A fully re-engineered Paracross Topology™ crossover, built with premium Mundorf components, optimises clarity, phase precision, and reduces the noise floor. Sensitivity is rated at 92 dB (2.83V/1 m) with a nominal impedance of 4 ohms, and it will partner comfortably with amplifiers between 100 W and 800 W. Each cabinet stands 1,450 mm tall, 490 mm wide, and 636 mm deep, weighing 84 kg.

Christian Mastro, Lamborghini’s Marketing Director, added:

“With Il Cremonese EX3ME-Automobili Lamborghini edition, we celebrate the excellence of Made in Italy by merging Sonus faber’s artisanal sound craftsmanship with Lamborghini’s visionary design… an uncompromising acoustic experience that reflects our cultural heritage and our relentless pursuit of perfection.”

The Il Cremonese Ex3me—Automobili Lamborghini Edition is available to order now. Due to its hand-built nature, a minimum three-month lead time is required. Pricing is set at €125,000 | US$130,000, with UK pricing to be confirmed.
