Dazz Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 Hi All. I am looking at replacing my aging marantz SR6003 and was looking at the Anthem MRX 540 or 740 AVRS. I have some questions on these AVRs. Do these AVRs have a graphic equalizer? Do they do multi channel stereo ie like a 4.1? I don't have a laptop or tablet but do have a smart phone and desktop computer. Can the GUI web interface be run on my desktop computer for setting these AVRS up? Thanks Dazz
Guest Posted May 31, 2024 Posted May 31, 2024 No graphic equalizer but you can use your own target curve to create an equivalent result. Yes, it can do multi channel stereo. Anthem Room Correction can run on Windows or Mac desktops and Android or Apple phones https://www.anthemarc.com/downloads/
Dazz Posted June 1, 2024 Author Posted June 1, 2024 Thanks for the information. Still deciding which one to get. So many choices!
VAF Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 There is also the MRX Slim which is going to be available from mid June - https://products.anthemav.com/mrx-slm/ RRP $2499.
Dazz Posted June 4, 2024 Author Posted June 4, 2024 I did see that one on the website. At this stage I am thinking of getting the MRX 540 as i already have a power amp thats used for driving my mains. Currently a 5.1 system and not really looking to go more than 7.1 anyway. Currently dont have room for even a second sub.
