Electrocompaniet AW600 (NEMO) Mono Amplifiers Pair

Featured Replies

Further Information:  Photos are stock photos, the amplifiers are brand new 230V versions in their boxes.

RRP $32,225pr

An amazing opportunity to purchase a brand new, latest generation of the iconic Electrocompaniet NEMO mono amps. The Nemo's clarity, effortlessness, boundless headroom, and unobtrusive but astonishingly accurate deep bass will leave you speechless. They are a stunningly musical set of power amplifiers.

The ideal match for Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series speakers (think Nautilus/Nemo) but with 600 watts per channel into 8 ohms on tap, you will find it hard to find something they can't drive!

Many reviews out there praising them, many owners too.......

Do EC have any equivalent technology to Mcintosh’s power guard in these amps to prevent speaker clipping?

Hi @Ryan Ayers

No, they don't.

There’s more than enough power to drive a wide variety of speakers, your ears will give up well before the electrocompaniet will start clipping.

I get that but I’ve got Bowers 800s & my experience with blown tweeters & mids in their products are they always blame the amplification.  I’m running a Mcintosh 462 & would love to go to monos & these are very enticing but I love the idea of power guard technology protecting my investment

Hi @Ryan Ayers,

The Nemo's are an amazing match with 800 Series, in my 20 years with the combination, we have never experienced anyone overdriving the speakers to that extent.
