Technics SH-8045 Graphic Equaliser

Featured Replies

Further Information: Transport your ears back to the 80's with the Technics SH-8045 Graphic Equaliser, now in-store at Len Wallis Audio. This isn’t just any old piece of tech, mind you. This is a pristine, cherry-picked relic hailing straight from Japan. Now, we know some would class equalizers, and their buddy, the dynamic range expander, as ‘signal processors’. Others, perhaps after a pint or two, call them ‘signal disturbers’. Whatever your take on this, we firmly believe that the SH-8045 isn't just here to throw a wrench into your hi-fi setup. No, it’s here to fine-tune, enhance, and if needed, fix up any boisterous frequencies. 🙂

Specifications:

> Input Sensitivity: Strong enough at 1V, but can handle your rebellious moods up to 8V.

> Output Level: Same as above. Balanced, as all things should be.

> Gain: A solid ± 0dB.

> Frequency response: From a slow yawn at 5Hz to a bat's whistle at 100kHz.

> Signal to Noise Ratio: An impressive 100dB.

> Total harmonic distortion: A minuscule 0.005%.

> Channel separation: A spacious 70dB

> Control Range: From a subtle ± 12dB.

> Frequency Bands: Think of these as the rainbow spectrum of sound, ranging from 16Hz (did the Earth just rumble?) to a crisp 32KHz (who let the dogs out?).

> Dimensions: 430 x 53 x 235mm. The Goldilocks width of equipment – just right.

> Weight: At 2.6kg, it’s lighter than your average, erm, cat.

Originally packaged, this vintage equalizer, now on display for a cool $275 at Len Wallis Audio, is available for you at a steal = $225 + freight to your doorstep.
This is an investment not just in sound, but in history, nostalgia, and of course, bragging rights.
Act fast, folks. Units from 1982 aren’t known to hang around in 2023 for too long!
