I thought I would buy a few Thermapens as Christmas presents. I have a couple and find them invaluable to get chicken and steak to the best completeness of cooking on the bbq, particularly for those who like their meat finished differently to how I prefer it.

 

Anyway, noticed that a couple of the colours are cheaper on Amazon U.K. than on the ETI homepage in the U.K.

 

Amazon shipping was also only 10 pounds for three of them.

Had a great day today with a visitor from Canada and a family bbq using the Kamado Joe. Made KeithW's recipe for Peri Peri chicken along with other stuff.

 

As usual, divided Keith's hot ingredient contents by 50% to get something that does not cause hair to fall out from one's pubics, and used chicken breast with skin on rather than Maryland as is generally recommended.

 

The point is, cooking a number of things at the same time would not have made it possible to achieve the optimum 60 degrees C (or only slightly higher) for the chicken without the Thermapen. I commend it to you.
