Consonance gear is well regarded here among SNAers, and there is a loyal following for good reason. It’s not just that you hear the music more clearly, these amps deliver the musicians to you – and their individual performances are made clearly discernible. For me, this was a revelation.

 

From the Osborn website:

"This amp has a superb and enchanting midrange, with the harmonic balance that Opera Audio has always strived for, and possesses an extraordinarily smooth balance throughout the spectrum, providing a stronger impression of live music. "

 

The spec’s say 35 watts a side, yet it reaches party volumes before the knob has turned halfway. It easily keeps up with a solid-state amp rated at 135w a side. Please don’t ask me for an explanation 🙃

 

I’ve owned this amp for three years. Purchased from a local SNAer. It’s been well looked after in both homes. 

 

If you’ve not yet lived with a good valve amp – this is an opportunity to get a quality bit of kit at an entry-level price point. (Current retail is $3250). This amp was my gateway to valves and I hope it does the same for the next owner.

 

While a local buyer would be preferred, I do have the original box, so shipping is possible – at the buyer’s expense and risk. I'm guessing an insured delivery from Aussie Post (Perth to Sydney) is around $100. I will publish the amp's weight and size of the box ASAP.  

 

Oh and, it does have a remote control.

Does it have kt150 tubes?

It comes with the kt 120's pictured. I've not been tempted to try 150s, yet.

But if I hang on to it, that might be my upgrade : )
