Zalman Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 (edited) Further Information: Ok this is IT will be pinned for a day and the price dropped, if it doesn't sell in that timeframe its staying at home. In my experience this is the best phono preamp setup I have seen at anywhere near this price. This is the MM/MC LX-LPS Phono by Musical Fidelity RRP $795 without the Upgrade Power Supply https://audiosolutions.net.au/product/musical-fidelity-lx-lps-phono-preamplifier/ It has been replaced by the cheaper LX2 which has lesser specs despite being very similar. The RIAA on the LX is claimed to reach out to 80khz whereas the LX2 claims only 45khz. Comes with genuine Musical Fidelity Upgrade Power Supply which in my opinion gives a more gutsy rendition compared to the supplied wall wart. I purchased this setup in May this year after being so impressed with the performance of an identical setup purchased in late March. Greed got me, the price performance was too good. I am keeping this exact setup in my main system and letting this one go. The phono has been run in for one week with the Granite Audio burn in Cd and has done very little otherwise. Postage is free This preamp has dual output switchable from MM to MC so can accommodate two tables. the loading on the back is via rca plugs, an extra 47pf supplied for the MM, which i have found suits AT carts minus the supplied plugs and my Goldring carts with the supplied plugs. 100ohm plugs are supplied for MC. Loading is quite variable by way of cheap homemade rca resistor plugs for MC, I will supply a couple of them (10 ohm for low output MC and 420 ohm which I have found ideal for the Denon Dl103. They aren't as pretty as the MF supplied ones but do the job admirably. The supplied MM setup is suitable for all but the most exotic carts. Edited October 1, 2022 by Zalman Too much bs
koloss Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Does it do 2 tables with mm carts or does 1 have to be mc?

Zalman Posted October 1, 2022 Author Posted October 1, 2022 Get an mc cart and put it on one of the tables otherwise it will only work one mm table
