This is my first post other than my intro post. I just bought this Luxman L-100 friday morning from a local estate sale. Even though it needs work I don't think I over paid. I have lots of stereos and I think I am going to keep this one, Fix it and sell off some of my lesser stuff. (DO NOT CONTACT ME ABOUT BUYING ANYTHING THIS IS NOT A SALE POST) Back to the Luxman, The pre-amp section is fine the problem is in the right side power amp. I suspect some bad power transistors at the minimum. Over all it's in EXCELLENT cosmetic condition and I can't wait to hear it working properly

A very well regarded amp, good luck with the fix/restore, I'd be keeping it...

I started working on it. The supply caps are HUGE!!! 15,000uf 80v and bigger around and just as tall as a soda can!
