Xiaomi's latest Mi TV S2 comes in a golden colour rim and polished aluminium back.

Its specifications looks good as well. Uses a 4K UHD LCD panel made by Samsung and offers HDMI 2.0 /HDCP2.2 inputs and HEVC decoding for 4K contents.

It'd good to see that 4k display is getting more affordable these days with the Chinese jumping in to spice up the competition with its Korean counterparts...

Just hope that the Quality will not be compromise by Price or Features.

Yeap... 一分钱一分货。

so far XiaoMi products are quite good in terms of reliability. Just got their air purifier, i am totally impressed. For less than $300 sgd, I got a huge ass purifier with smart feature that allows me to monitor, on and off the machine from outside.

Hi guys,

I went to Sim Lim Square yesterday and I passed by a shop called Xiaomi and I went to take a look.

They sell all things Xiaomi and one of the staff, James came to talked to me. I asked him the question whether they are related to Xiaomi or Xiaomi Singapore but James said that they have their own supply of Xiaomi products directly sourced from China.

So, you will get Mi4 phone ( not the Mi4i from Xiaomi Singapore) and they have also Mi Note Pro and also the latest MiTv2! The phones will have Google Play installed and English interface, so I was told.

Prices as shown are quite attractive for Mi4 @ S$699 and MiTV2 is $1599.

As for warranty - they said that any issues, just go back to them and they will have a service team to look at the  problems. No point going back to Xiaomi Singapore as their products are sourced directly from China.

They have display sets for you to play around and I am quite tempted to hoot the Mi Note Pro.

Sorry guys...correction.. the price of $699 is for the Mi Note Pro, not for Mi 4.

@Francis ~ sorry, did not check d price of Mi Note 4 as I was distracted by Mi Note Pro and also the MiTv 2.

So, the shop is not related to Xiaomi at all? Rather puzzling that they can use the Xiaomi name on the shop.

A word of caution from Mi Community -

http://c.mi.com/sg/thread-860-1-1.html

that's the problem with China products. The sources at Mi HQ never keep stocks in control, thousands of units can be bought over various sources and routes. even local authorized Xiaomi can only post such a msg on their website. anyway its been months I ever set foot at SLS. its not the place we use to know anymore.
