Why are you selling everything!?

Going to stereo . A difficult decision .

Sorry to hear it bro.

I like the way you do things though- give 100%. Am sure your stereo will be awesome!

Sad to hear that you have to give up your dream HT set-up after putting in so much effort.

Thanks all . Now going into the stereo world. Lot of things to learn from the bros out there .

Yup agree , except  for the low bass oomph .

There goes my reference system. Such a pity you have to go this path.

I think it helps to have a set up that can do both movies and stereo. I know you went the whole hog with an acoustically transparent screen but IMHO, I've often found it's a compromise on both fronts.

My wife let me have the dedicated room when we got our new place, so I was able to put the speakers way into the room for stereo and still be able to project a 120" 16:9 image from the projector.

Good luck with the 2 channel setup :)

Hi bro,

Just spoken to you about a week ago only.  Really shocked :o and sad :( to know that you have decided to give up your HT.

What a pity.  I have yet to visit and take a look at one of the reference HT setup.

Anyway, I wish you all the best in your path to Stereo.  Given your dedication and commitment, I believe your future Stereo set up will be as awesome!

Cheers! ;D

Thanks bro .

Even Hifi can cause neighbor noise pollution. Maybe can consider some soundproofing? It's not that expensive (relatively).

TBH I think there is more mileage in hifi.

Depends. Hifi IMHO is usually a solitary pursuit whereas HT can be fun for the whole family.

How come ht and 2 channel audio cannot go hand in hand? Just take out the front 2 channel from behind the screen? Everything is about tuning and matching.

ht and 2ch together everything is more about compromise.

ht and 2ch together everything is more about compromise.

I don't find that to be the case.

Unless you integrate the 2 systems with things like ht bypass preamps and separate components etc.

True.

I meant there is more to tweak and refine in Hifi. But maybe it's because I am more easily satisfied with HT than Hifi.

sdds, funny. Thought you gave up stereo for home theatre a few years back?

True.

Got video to distract the ears. :)

Very very sayang....after all the effort , time , money spent...

Got video to distract the ears. :)

Exactly. I'm easily distracted :D

Actually lack of funds is the best way to stop tinkering. :) I've been spending time to listen to stuff I've bought but not listened or watched. And ripping them to the server.
