Very nice and neat HT room bro.

I just spend 2 hours rearranging the cables of my HT room but the end result is still....messy.

Thx bro yenz , haven't have time to tidy my cables at the back of my rack , thinking of it so lazy to do it .  :P

Wow.. thumbs up 4 yur dedicated HT room :p very impressive!! Maybe one day i've mine too.. haha. Btw, congrats again.

Very nice! Me also have dedicated 2 months old cinema room. Will post photos next time. But my fixed screen a disaster; ased a frame shop to custom made a frame with blackout cloth.

Bro HDTV_noobie

Thank you for liking my setup . Since 14 yrs ago i started this hobby ,like you also dreaming to have a delicated room for movie ,Finally able to realise my dream of having one .In future, is just equipment upgrade that what made this hobby interesting. :P

Lucky you.  For me, it's not forseeable for now, unless like Bro Keai, I get a bigger apartment with more rooms!

Are you around Toa Payoh area?  Might be easier to drop by and "use" your home cinema instead :D

BTW, are you going to write a "manual" or photo journal on your HT setup?  Think it'll be good reference for

all brothers in XP, seeing how much work is done for yours and Pete and the various expertise involved in

design, soundproofing, calibrating etc :).

Cheers.

Thks all again , I staying in the west area. Those who are embarking on a new home theater can do a better design than me . My advice for those doing upa ATor fixed screen , pls seek advice from the professions like Peng , Alf and read up from avs forum , extremeplace ,learn from other mistake . Bro mutant pls post up some pics of yr theater . Then again , most important enjoy the movie n forget about the equipment as there is no ending . Mine will proably last only 2 yrs b4 the next upgrade .

Bro sdds, very nice movie room you have. Congrats! Since you gave up your window, I dunno if you wanna get a dehumidifier instead. I have a dedicated room as well, and the windows are basically sealed shut. Within 3 months, I had molds on the speaker cones. Decided to get a dehumidifier, and I have not seen any mold since. The only setback it that the darned thing is big, and occupies space.

Enjoy yr new room bro!

Bro thank you for the advice . How bad is the molds on yr spk ?

Bro, have you check that all the 3 brick support (force per square meter or pressure) are within the HDB guideline?

It's a hollow block n together with speakers load , doesn't  excel the 100 kg  load . The speakers are not as heavy as they look .  ;D

Speakers behind the screen. Impressive. This will make your movie much more realistic as if the screen is speaking. A good one bro. Hope one day can turn my 3x3m room close to yours. Anyway to disclose your cost.

Thk bro lttan , just for the acoustic setup , carpet , door , rockwool , custom rack cost me near to 10k . As for your size yr room , u need to have a smaller screen. Place a smaller spk behind the screen till can achieve what I have . Looking foward to having yr dream come true .

bro, i got my dehumidifier from diy shops like homefix. cos ard $100. mine is a small one. but to clear the water every 2 days

My whole place very damp...new house ... Thinking I need to have at least 2 herer as upstairs and downstairs to consider. My sofa feels wet all the time, my tools all rusting, Aircon bill now very high too.

Maybe DIY a drain tube for the unit...if you have somewhe to drain it to.

Yup bro agree need  have a dehumidifier , will buy one soon otherwise in the long run I will see Mose startto grow . Only troublesome to change water.

Really nice work! Its really a dream to have that in sg... (I wish I have budget for that too!) :D

Thanks jackmbox ,doing up the media room is still achievable , most important is how much u want yr room to look like , some would like to deco close to GV or Cathay or even IMAX ! I gather a lot of ideas from avs forum , avbuzz . Of course , the main factor is the limitations of hdb room size  , not enough space for other equipment . My initial idea was to place 4 subwoofer in front n 2 at the side .

Sdds, I just posted pics of mine too. I think I need a dehumidifier also..

But you generally have the windows and doors open, so how? ??? :D

Bro jacknbox , based on yr real time experience the antimode any good ?

The antimode is good if u need bass correction (for peaks and nulls) for your room. For my case, my current room is small (new place not ready yet) and packed with lots of stuff (no room treatment at all). There were some peaks in the 30hz and 80-100hz. The antimode managed to tame the peaks and even out the bass freq range. At first I noticed a significant drop in the bass level in the lower freq range. I tuned up the sub level by abt 1-2db then it sounded good and even (reduced peaks). I tried the Lift 25 feature and yes, it does set things shaking in the lower range (good for movies). I feel that my system could have benefited more from some proper room treatment instead but its a typical bedroom with wardrobe, computer table and stuff. I'll wait til I get my new place next year!

Currently, my antimode is connected via a Y coaxial cable to both MBM-12 and F12SE. Not sure if its the best way to do it though.

Having some postive review from you , i will be getting the antimode for the mbm . Thanks . ;D

Yea I think your setup should benefit from it. But before that u should try to hear for any significant peaks or nulls in your setup before making the decision. There's also the SVS AS EQ-1 (exp though) for your consideration. :D
