Are you kidding, Pete?

Just down the road - Pho24 (with big green sign, near the Long House or OCBC Bank) on Upper Thomson Road.

Tried it in HCMC (passable) but don't know the standard here in SG.

there's a pho place in holland village, next to sushi tei in lorong mambong. but dunno if it is any good. not really a pho phan.

Thanks, it has to be good...

I have the best pho in Sydney, in Caramatta and Flemington... high standard

But since Pho24 is nearby, I might try it

Pls don't bother with this place. Shld be named Pho Hua, after the chain. Also pls don't bother with the one at Killiney if its still there.

One of the more decent ones I recall was at Far East Shopping Centre, but it's since closed down.

Hope to hear from the guys here as well. heh

Add: I just recalled Viet Cafe, which is located at the basement of 6 Battery Road (StanChart building), accessible from the outside. That serves decent pho actually. Used to have lunch there once in awhile.

I've also had the one at Suntec before (Pho House), but it did not impress although it was better than Pho Hua.

I've not tried Phochine at Wisma, but did not hear much good things about it either.

There is also a Pho24 at Millenia Walk which I've not tried before either, and Madam Saigon on Liang Seah.

By just looking at it...Saliva dripping....

do give a writeup after trying out Pho24. I too had tried really good pho in Sydney, in Bankstown; even the one along George Street was quite decent. So will be keen to know if pho24 is up to scratch, especially since it's probably the nearest to home compared to the other options listed so far.  ;)

Vietnamese noodle chain Pho 24, with over 60 outlets in Vietnam, opened its second one in Singapore along Upper Thomson five months ago. It has an outlet at Millenia Walk.

Its Singapore franchise owner Paul Tan, 39, says: 'People are starting to draw comparisons between places like Holland Village, Upper Serangoon Road and here.
