Guest Jerry Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 This is a Korean romantic comedy that will make u laugh, cry and ponder. This movie reminds me a little about the movie Serendipity, where chance or fate plays a large part in finding true love. It also reminds me about kevin Smith's "Chasing Amy" not becoz of the theme, but the sincerity of the movie and the many heartfelt moments. The tone for this movie is not the same throughout the whole movie (which ran about 130 mins long). It is at times a laugh-out loud wacky comedy, at times a romance which will inspire u to write love poems and send roses to your other half, at times a fantasy, at times drama where u will cry with the characters as u understood their pain, and at all times a great great movie! This movie is lifted to higher levels by the lead performances of the two charming leads who sizzled with chemistry. They r also the reason to watch this movie. The ending is a bit of a twist and i shall not reveal too much. Just watch this movie!!!
Krug Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Channel U offering tix to the preview.. u can check it out at www.sphmediaworks.com
Guest Jerry Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Wow! This movie has been brought in by Shaw Organisation and will premiere 11 April. For those of u not getting the DVD, better catch this on screen then! BTW, the DVD is the director's cut with another disc filled with extra features (but no subtitles). Dunno whether the cinema version will be director's cut a not.

It's too bad then. The director's cut I saw is so good! Can't imagine which r the scenes that will be cut out for the normal theatrical version. All the scenes in this longer cut seemed so essential to the development of the story. The DVD comes with some deleted scenes too. Will take a look later. ;D
Guest Jerry Posted April 8, 2002 Posted April 8, 2002 Quote SHHH!!! We r supposed to keep the ending a secret!

Guest Jerry Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Quote I read somewhere it is not. That's what holding me back from getting the set now. I'm not an 'extra' person and furthermore this title's extra cannot understand... The extras are not subtitled. But this movie alone is worth every cent of it. The movie soundtrack and theme song are also very touching, even though i could not understand them. U can try watching the cinema version first. if u like the movie, then u order it.
lingcw Posted April 9, 2002 Posted April 9, 2002 Thanks, I do intend to catch it in the cinema first. :) Btw, you haven't told me where you get this title from... is yours the tin box one?
