delh78 Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 (edited) Hi, Anyone have any direct experience with a Hana EL fitted to a SME 3009 s2? (Removable head shell) any comparisons to the Shure V15 111? I’m guessing it would be a nice step up? I’m chasing a bit more warmth. Thanks Edited April 19, 2020 by delh78

It was a decent pairing but the 3009 S2 is an extremely light tonearm and the Shure V15 III might be a better match in regards to resonance. The original 3009 would be more desirable. Edit: Is your 3009 SII the improved or non-improved version? Edited April 19, 2020 by kelossus

Guest rondine Posted April 19, 2020 Posted April 19, 2020 Nothing is easier than adding weight to the headshell, subtracting it is a different matter. ron

If there was any resonance issues you could potentially add some mass to the headshell as mentioned above. Edited April 19, 2020 by kelossus
