chrisnus Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Very nice sounding DAC, I have a dac with pcm58p my self. More organic sound then pcm1704 I had. Definitely over TDA1543

zippi Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 I currently run a NOS TDA1543 Phillips based DAC from starting point, but if I was in the vicinity - I would certainly pick this one up. For comparison if nothing else, but I suspect it's something I'd stick with. 1
eltech Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 @zippi If you like 1543, this is a DAC you'd love. It's got the same sort of smoothness, but with increased clarity. But, shipping isn't a great idea. 1

My thinking/expectation exactly. 3 minutes ago, eltech said: But, shipping isn't a great idea. The cost may be the least of the problems. Parcels get treated co "nicely" these days that it's anyone's guess what state of repair it'll arrive in.
