Item: SEAS / Hypex Subwoofer DIY Kits
Location: Melbourne
Price: $400 each (inc $10 donation to the site, each)
Item Condition: Near new (see extra info)
Reason for selling: Unfinished project / no longer required
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash
Extra Info:

I have two subwoofer kits for sale. These kits comprise:

- 1x Seas L26ROY D1001-04 10 inch subwoofer driver (was $282 USD new)

- 1x Seas SL26R 10 inch passive radiator (was $132 USD new)

- 1x Hypex DS 2.0 subwoofer plate amp (was $249 AUD new)

These were purchased for a project I never finished, and the new place has no room for this scale of sub (let alone two...).

A PDF with instructions from SEAS on how to construct an enclosure is attached. Note that this is a DIY kit and the buyer will need to construct the enclosures, as per the instructions. This 'kit' includes only the items listed, the buyer will need to buy and build the box. A great project for anyone keen on DIY. No modifications have been made to the subwoofer plate amp, these were purchased from a retailer in Australia and take 240V.

The drivers have been test mounted in a baffle but never used (in as new condition). Can supply nice black hex head mounting screws if required. Due to the driver weight, postage is likely impractical, hence pickup only.

No fundamental objections from my end, but just weighed one kit and we're talking 14kg, plus probably 2+kg of packing material. Could get pretty pricey?

Yeah, the cost is not so massive if you find the right carrier (freighexchange). But finding a suitable box might be a hassle - if you don't have the individual boxes for the drivers and the plate amp'.

Sadly I don't have the original boxes. It's not such a problem for the amps or the PRs, but the main driver would take some serious repacking for freight.

Best to leave it I think. It's a pain trying to pack heavy drivers and there's always uncertainty when you post them.

I'm doing a trip to Melbourne next weekend, then to Brisbane in a month. See my add on a sticky at the top of the classified forum and let me know if I can help.

Mike. Thanks for that. I didn't realise you were making it up to sunny Brisbane!

Ok. Is PayPal an option for this?

Scumbag great subs come in pairs emoji1303.png

Actually I have done some projections and I believe a single sub in my room should address the dips in my bass response. Hoping.....

Update 2: @scumbag took one set off my hands, looking forward to seeing what he does with em. The second (identical) set is still available though.

Willing to break up the set if anyone is interested in the amp or drivers individually:

 - L26ROY and matching passive radiator: $275

 - Hypex DS 2.0 plate amp: $125

Update 3: Sub amp sold, all that remains are the drivers. Willing to do the L26ROY and matching passive radiator for $250.

Great driver that. I'm just about to finish a 38litre sealed enclosure with my seas subwoofer. Fun times.
