The 540 gains 160GB HDD instead of 80, DIVX playback and +R/RW recording over the 530 but loses DV in & USB. Same deal with 640 but it gets 250 GB up from 160.

It states 2 USB. mossy1503559706 Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Funny no one has mentioned yet that the new models "40 series" all can write to DVD-RAM. The old models couldn't do this. They could only Read. Big plus if you want to use DVD-RAM media, competes now with the Panasonics. Mossy
