vjay77 Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Can anyone help? Ever since purchasing my Samsung TV & set top box I have had signal problems with the digital channels 7 &9. The rest of the channels are all working fine. At first i thought it may be an antennea problem and paid Jim's Antennae to replace my antennea and cabling however this did not fix the problem. he suggested that I replace the settop box but I don't think that's the culprit that is causing the pixulated images. Does anyone know what I can do?

Does anyone know what I can do? Did 'Jim' give you a reading of digital signal strength and quality? Assuming he did and it's normal --- replace the box. (?borrow one from a friend to try) Assuming he didn't --- replace Jim.
Dr_Mutley Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 given its a samsung box? then Jims probably right
alanh Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 Dr_Mutley, It may well be the box, however it can also be an antenna problem. There are a number of translators in Adelaide to fix reception spots and the CBD causes problems in the suburbs to the north west of it. So, Read Get the Best Reception, Adelaide and read the links. vjay77 Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. I have turned in the set top box to be looked at (still within warrantee thankfully). I'm hoping it is the culprit and that it will fix the problem. If not, I will pursue the other avenues. I'll keep you posted. Once again thanks V
