I don't think Brad is kanamint as kanamints posting style is different to Brad's in a lot of ways.

Nah, wheels, kanamint can spell.

I forget the actual post, but it looked suspiciously Brad-ish.

JB

it mite off bean in da speling tread. foxtel iz coool or sumtin.

Seriously though, I remember reading something recently and thinking it sounded like Brad. Can't remember where it was or if it even had anything to do with Foxtel.

I love how the search function, when you type in a name in the "filter by name" area, it will come up with a list of all the members that start with that name.. But if that happened on the old system, well, I've just learned my bit for today

The software update has made the forum much more sleek Coral, I like the new "My Assistant" that just appeared this morning.... and the upgrade has been almost seamless, well done.

The other odds and ends were because I had to reset the templates

A*MAZING!

The search function now works on THREE LETTER searches!

Wooooooooo! :P

However, that "add all posts together"* functionality is croc!!!

And I still have tiny fonts??? :P Except in this reply screen. All the stuff at the top of the page is tiny.

I do notice when you open up any forum eg below

http://www.dtvforum.info/index.php?showforum=4

all the fonts are the same bar the one in the column

Last Action

bloody tiny, not sure why this one is so much smaller than all the rest. Especially thats the bit that I click on to read any threads.

How far do you people sit from your display and what res are you guys running at?

I'm currently running 1280x1024 and sit about 80cm from my 19" and the font size is almost perfect  (minus a few inconsistencies here and there)

17" crt monitor, 800x600 large fonts, as I am vision impaired.

PC is P2 233, Windoze 98SE, IE6.

The only text I can now read normally in this topic is Santas: A*MAZING! the rest is about 8pt.

Even my signature has shrunk!!

 Coral's gonna love this....

Firefox is able to change the font size easily, however Internet Explorer can't (with regards to this forum).

Are those fonts better?

thanks coral the Last action coloumn font is now same like the others. All good now

I'm not going to complain... I'm not going to complain... I'm not going to complain...

When you fixed up the fonts for IE, Firefox's fonts stuffed up.. different sized fonts, tiny fonts for some areas and large fonts in others.... but I'm not complaining

Just so you know, this only affects the "view new posts" page. Every other page appears to be A-OK

Good. You know I dislike Firefox.

You know, I use Firefox (primary browser, also is the browser I trust for designing websites in. Then I just fix up the CSS problems caused by IE's lack of being compatible with the standards) and the View New Posts page is fine (okay, maybe a few percentages smaller (not sure as I never use that page), but it is still readable).

Dunno, seems an awful way to design websites since the majority of your market is IE-based. Not all pages that look fine under Firefox will look the same under IE, and vice versa.

Maybe MS will buy them out sometime.

No!!!

In any case, I tend to use both anyway, so it's all good either way :P

Actually, it is a rather good way to design the sites. If it works in Firefox, most of the time a CSS-hack (which would be needed anyway seeing as IE doesn't behave correctly with some CSS styles) is all that is needed to get it working in IE.

Also, most of the time the CSS positioning (the method I use for layouts. Using tables for layout is bad) code that I first check in Firefox works in IE. The CSS-hacks are only on about 2-10% (depending on how the site is designed) of the CSS file's classes.

Indeed it is. IE is, for example, better suited in a corporate environment as you can lock it down and control it easier than Firefox. Firefox is more of a home user or web site developer's browser.
