ThirdDrawerDown
The latest wikileaks item is papers from the CIA. "Vault 7". The CIA, according to their own private papers, has exploited a vulnerability in Samsung's 2017 flagship series of smart TVs so they can be used as a surveillance device. Particularly interesting is that it works while the TV is off, as well as when it's on. This redefines what is meant by 'smart TV'. Would you pay more for such a TV, or less? In other words would you consider such cleverness a feature or a flaw?

If your not a terrorist you've go nothing to fear. l've always figured if someone wrote the code then someone can hack it. As technology advances this spying and control on everybody will be inevitable.

One look at a naked, short, fat weird looking bald man making coffee while scratching himself.... they'll soon change chanel.Wifi is more the worry. You'd be surprised at what they can see with it. More than a stationary camera in the lounge.... or bedroom (picture a sick walrus trying to climb a rock!).

As others have mentioned, the price pay for increasingly 'smart' (connected) devices.

Still a shame that this is where we are heading.
