Hi, I've have had my Cheviots for about 8 or so years. In this time I've had some nice speakers in my system but I always come back to the Cheviots for the music they produce. My Cheviots with the HPD315 drivers have finally succumbed to the inevitable and now the foam surround needs replacing. I'm very keen to use original tannoy parts and it appears Speakerbits in Melbourne sell these. But from research on the net and also contacting Lockwood in the UK it seems the original surrounds have cutouts for screws etc whereas the Speakerbits ones don't. Tannoy emailed me to say they only sell recone kits not surrounds and it appears these too have the cutouts. I know speakerbits are a reputable company but it only states on their site they are genuine factory replacements rather than Tannoy factory which is kind of open ended in my thinking. Does anyone have any experience on this front? Maybe I should stop being so fussy? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Legselevens
