progladyte Posted June 4, 2011 Posted June 4, 2011 (edited) Item:Yamaha AX-530 Stereo Amp with inbuilt Phono / Glenwood Floorstanders - recently rebuilt with new cones, solid Budgeroo timber tops. Location: Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast. Pickup only as these would be expensive to freight. If you are a Brisbane buyer, the one hour trip to the Sunshine Coast will be well worth your while. Share a beer or three while auditioning. Item Condition: Very Good - Timber finish is immaculate. Reason for selling: Space issues at home. ("The kids are back in town") I've also upgraded to ONKYO / NAD / B & W Price: Now only $340.00 – Just reduced by $110.00. Pick up - Cash, Paypal or EFT from my house via net-banking once you're happy with the gear. Extra Info: These are reluctantly being let go as they have been my favourite speakers for ages with a big dynamic sound and tight punchy bass. The amp has been a dream unit to own and has faithfully served me for many years. The phono works amazingly well and has been linked to my turntable for worry free sound for many years. Everything stills works flawlessly as good quality Yamaha equipment is known to do. Made in Japan. There is no speaker crackling as you often find when you fiddle with the volume knobs. Excellent for rock music or jazz / fusion where bass definition is required! If you are a newcomer to 2 channel stereo, like good quality rock music and like to hear the dynamics of sound played well, these could be a good place to start. Feel free to phone for an audition - come up after work even if at night. Bring some audition discs if you like. These are tall speakers at 1250mm high - Standing next to a pair of B & W 684's. Speakers have been rebuilt with new cones and solid timber tops made from a rare and expensive Qld species called Budgeroo. Amp is clean and tidy and performs as well today as it did when I first bought it. Thanks for looking. PM me if you're interested. I'd be happy to demonstrate these and ensure they go to a good home... Greg. Edited June 19, 2011 by progladyte
