Another gut wrenching test is Valkyrie.

Watch the first scene around 4mins in.

I didn't realise their was a big bass program in this movie with my old subs. My twin X's tried their hardest to destroy the living room at -6dB.

We actually shook skim-coat off the ceiling where they flushed the screws to the gyprock... :)

Looks great!!

Could certainly use a larger TV, although have you considered lowering the TV a little? Seems a little high to me. Sitting on the shelf the PS3 is on would probably work well.

Although, thinking about it, it's maybe just an aesthetic thing and therefor highly subjective! :) Anyway, looks freakin' awesome!! Must sound incredible.

The TV is at a perfect height for us. We don't have to strain our necks to watch, and works a treat when reclined on the lounge.

Thank for the kind words. :)

Dritz,

Do you by any chance like black?! :)

Definitely looks the goods. Hiding the cables behind curtains, very good idea!

What size is that plasma?

Noted, I will see to hiding the cables :)

Yes, big fan of black :D

Plasma is 50". I'll upgrade when I can get a 70" plasma for under $5k

Just had my pair dropped off tonight :P

I'm really looking forward to my day off on Friday, going to be listening to A Lot of tunes!

And they are beautiful mate :)

It was fortuitous for me to get a listen to them on their maiden run :)

Have fun and enjoy them mate.

G'day,

Just had my pair dropped off tonight :P

I'm really looking forward to my day off on Friday, going to be listening to A Lot of tunes!

Congratulations and welcome to Club CX4F. I've been listening to my pair a lot lately and continue to appreciate them more each day.

As much as yer looking forward to all that listening, imagine my despair at having to give them up when I move overseas :)

Thanks for the well wishes guys.

Pictures will have to wait. Too busy listening :P (plus my point and shoot camera is pretty flakey atm)

I went for the Bird's Eye Maple finish. And yes I have moved. Still in the city but have a nicer listening room now. Pretty even bass response much to both Drizt's and Stuart's displeasure. Drizt was jealous that my room didn't share the monstorous bass problems his does and Stuart wanted a chance to use some of the smarts he put on the back for handling rooms with problematic bass :)

Tonight's highlight has been Damien Rice - Cold Water off of his O album and I'm now headed back for some more!

Curse you RD *shakes fist*

Looking forward to reading your review and look at some more pics of the setup after you have had some time to play with the system.

Congrats RD , sounds like the wait was worth it.

I found the appreciation factor grows over time, so maybe give it some running time before a full blown review. Your reviews are among the best on SNA, I cant wait to read it.

Good for you RD.

Happy to hear you are very happy with your new speakers. May they give you many years of listening pleasure.

cheers

There is nothing like getting a visit from the Ralstons. ( all three, bearing gifts).

My new speakers are certainly a vision. They are really worth waiting for.

It turns out my room has a standing wave which cancels lower frequencies @ 100cycles.

Nothing a bass trap won't fix. The sound overall is still excellent.

I will do a futher reveiw once I fix up the room. In the mean time enjoy the pics...

congrats bigears.

Nice room and love those ikea shelves. 100Hz issue shouldn't be too hard to correct, mind you if you aren't hearing it and cannot tell, who cares
