  1. So I paid upfront in full 2months ago for my P91 50" 1080P Plasma (3k including 5years and delivery) and on the Saturday just gone I was the proud owner of a P91 with a smashed screen. The delivery truck drivers must have been running a little behind schedule and forgot to tie things down in the back or something. So the options are wait another month minimum for a replacement TV. Or get a refund and get something else. The store manager would be willing to extend that amount a little if I went a swap I think. What TV would you recommend? I dont really want to take a hit in size.
  2. I have been told the same story yesterday with the push back on delivery till early march. not happy.
  3. Selby has a special on 3x 1.5m optical cables for $29 i think it was. They've got metal grips/plugs and are nice and thick. I picked up some. I think they are about $13-$14 each or so normally.
  4. One thing to consider would be that speakers tend to not date nearly as fast as AVR's, so you might be better off spending the majority of that budget on your speakers, while still getting a capable AVR. Edited to make sense, didnt notice your overall budget when I first wrote my reply.
  5. How does this unit and the belkin 8way isolator compare to this DSE model which seems to be on a special at the moment? http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.storefro...duct/View/M7810
  6. Hey Guys I just picked up a 461 on the weekend with a new TV I was purchasing for $500. I had a quick look over at the Yamaha website to confirm the specifications and to my untrained eye it almost looks like the 459 is a better/more future proof amp? What are the pro's con's of keeping what i have or swapping to the 459 and what would you recommend? Video switching is not important to me and I haven't bought any speakers yet. (still deciding between a cheap 5.1 set or a more expensive set of fronts only to start with).
  7. Apparently it has been extended till the end of feb, I've read on a couple of sites. I've filled out all my paperwork for it and it appears to have been accepted, so now I'm playing the waiting game. They have a couple instock, but there delivery drivers are booked out till early next week and they aren't delivering over the australia day weekend. Not that I blame them
  8. Just picked up a Samsung PS50P91FDX from Clive Anthony's in Brisbane for $2600 +$359 for extended warranty to 5 years +$41 for delivery for a round total of $3000
  9. I have some trouble telling the difference between the dream models. There's the V series and X series the JD models and the M7 and the DX, which ones are the newest and which ones are supposed to be the pick of the bunch?
  10. If you are looking for a 50PZ700A NOW in brisbane. Goodguys at Brownsplains have 4 in stock, they dont have any on display, you have to ask. Unfortunately the best they would do for me when I was there was 3335+extra for the extended warranty. Apparently they know they are one of the few people in Brisbane with stock.
  11. 2.5m is definitely not too close for a 50"
  12. Yes they are one year, but that is not uncommon. Panasonic's are also one year. Pioneer may be 5 years but I'm sure you are paying for that through the price of the TV. hobotivo, I cant' PM yet are you able to email me a copy of that receipt please? monkeymajik at gmail dot com
  13. Myer at Carindale have the Panasonic TH50PZ700A for $3199 ticket price. Though when I talked to him he wasnt willing to move much, and claimed they only had a few left.
