Slight change, I've been adviced/convinced to keep the xpa5 for my active speaker project even thou it'll be overkill. Also decided to give my oldman the yamaha as its an upgrade to his non hdmi receiver. So 1700$ for all speakers and a couple stands, I think the proac clones were 3-4k when new, they still sound great Also got a 3 recliner cinema lounge for a $150 in a chocolate suede if anyone wants it to make room in my shed no room in current house to use, its not perfect Demo is welcome anytime

Mate your crazy giving it away for cheap, email emotiva and they'll send out a new circuit board/channel to replace it. Few screws n solder a.couple wires. Did.it myself back In January

i bought mine in july last year so its 1 and a half years old, ill email lonnie do yuou know his email?

i had a big xmas lunch n a few drinks, family left etc i had a lie down for a couple hours left the xpa and my onkyo on but no sound going thru em, i got up went into the lounge room and the orange light was flashing and one red led was on or flashing i cant remember, anywyas turned it off and on and it made a fizz spark noise with bad dc noise going thru the speaker quickly turned everything off, checked everything and unplugged everything and turned the amp on again with nothing plugged in and it sparked n fizzed and made a pop with smoke turned off again asap. I pulled the lid off and its blown a cap on Ch 4 circuit board second from the left when looking at the back, its all a lil fried around where the cap went, so if its just that circuit board it should be fixable, the whole thing was pretty warm when the orange light was flashing, pretty weird when i did a search last night for xpa5s blowing up someone elses blew up yesturday on their forum, ive made an account on emotiva lounge but waiting for approval to post my problem, looks like theirs fried a board as well.. plugged all my speakers back into the onkyo so at least im not without anything till it gets sorted,

Just after abit of advise, I've had my eye on getting a UMC 1 for a few months, Saw the group buy for the denon 4311 and thought I might get that but moneys gunna be tight b4 Xmas so with the dollar so good and $100 off I'm thinking just order one My question is how much better is the 4311? I don't need the internal amps or 3d n the UMC has a similar eq program to the audessy yeah? Maybe I just get the UMC now n sell it next year n upgrade to the denon when more moneys avail?. Good idea? Because atm I'm running multichannel analog as my onkyos digital side of things is blown eg no dd dts etc Thanks

anyone wanna chime in and lemie know which would be better the emotiva umc-1 which i am thinking of getting or this unit? running a xpa-5 power amp just need a preamp my onkyo 701 is old n half broken

as per title has slight bulb flicker everynow and again reason for sale is my truck has been put off the road and i need funds for repairs can demo for anyone intrested comes with manual n spare dust filter, just put a new filter in also.

not sure what its worth, make an offer, dont wanna sell it under 1000$ thou or ill keep it, can get a replacement globe thru ebay usa for around 200-230$ plus shipping, even thou id just leave it as is its fine for watching movies oh and yeah its missing the rear plastic cover around the terminals i never recieved it and tried to get Phil from Benq to send one to no avail, other then that it looks like new

any intrest in this forum for a Pe8720 720p projector? has 450hrs on the globe but latley it seems to have developed a slight flicker ive done some research and found old firmware can lead to this and this projector has the original firmware never upgraded i bought the projector off the ceo of Benq australia with 150hrs on it he used it as a demo in his house hense the very low hrs on it any offers? im located in melbourne can demo for anyone

u can turn the led's off but not the power one and thats the real bright one

i got one and im about to upgrade my fronts n centre the tweeter has a dent but it dident affect the sound i tried to pop it out n jes made it worse hah ill let ya know

very happy with my xpa5 so far running an onkyo 701 as a pre has bought my B&W 601's/cc6 to life now really needing to upgrade to some floorstanders and a better centre
