Up for sale are my MB-80 Bozak Mini Concert Series speakers. These have an amazing sound for their size. As an explanation of these speakers see below from designer Peter Ledermann. ‘I engineered and re-engineered many products at Bozak, but by far, my favourite was a miniature speaker system called the MB-80. One of my great joys occurred when I first demonstrated these miniatures at a CES show. I had positioned them on some unique adjustable wooden speaker stands I engineered, in front of Rudy's classic Concert Grand loudspeakers which if you have never seen them, were each the size of an industrial refrigerator. The imaging in three dimensions from these miniatures was so astounding that all those who walked into our suite at first were convinced they were listening to the old huge loudspeaker classics, each comprised of 8 slot loaded aluminium cone tweeters, two 6 inch aluminium cone midranges and four 12 inch variable density woofers.’ Price in 1980 was $449 a pair. Speaker size: 31.7x20x18cm and each speaker weighs 8kgs each. Note: There is minor damage to one corner (see photo) this does not impeded the sound. These are the preferred earlier version with the fuse on the front of the speaker and are consecutive serial numbers. Speakers can be shipped at buyer’s expense but are very heavy. For sale my Kanto SX22W 22inch (55cm) Speaker Stands with isolation feet. The SX series of premium floor-standing speaker stands have a bespoke isolation system, that decouples the speaker stands from the floor. Please note the Line -in Gryphon Exorcist is used for dispelling magnetic build up in audio circuits not CDs as shown. I couldn't remove the CD. Description on how to use the Exorcist is provided in the box along with a set of wire interconnects. After use the sound from my stereo was noticeably cleaner. For maximum stability, two top plate sizes are provided. Also included spikes and rubber feet for timber flooring. These would be the best speaker stands I have purchased. Eric McChanson's 300B amplifier has point to point soldering; a 2-stage single input & driver stage using a 6EM7, then follows the power stage of 300B (SET), with adjustable fixed bias. One 5V4GA rectifier. No negative feedback, 4 sets of inputs, two outputs - 4 & 8 ohm standard. The amp has a deep lush sound that takes you deep into the music. Particularly good on vocals. works wonderfully well, especially if you like lush tonality and timbre of vocals and chamber jazz and classical. I purchased from a SNA member, he had advised not a lot of hours on the tubes and I have no more than 20. Very easy to adjust the Bias. The test Point is near the power tube. There is no issue if you use Black or Red probes of a digital multimeter; red probe plugs into DC port on multimeter. Set the multimeter to DCV 200mV. With the amp ON, tune the trim pot as needed to get a reading on the meter, for 300B it should be around 50mV to 55mV. I have included a multimeter. I can consider postage or courier and will investigate options if anyone is interested. I did get a quote from Australia Post and it was $100 to WA. I can also meet at Tweed Heads if you are in sunny Brisbane or if in Sydney and between I am heading to Sydney last week of July and can arrange to meet.
