If your after the Yama 3800, it can definitely be had for under $2000 in Melb. I picked up mine around 2 months ago from BPP for under this.

Hey Andrew I've also got a launch day console, and its just got RROD, so I just sent it off to get fixed. When you say yours has been fixed already once, but it got RROD again, what exactly do MS do to fix then? Cause if its going to break again, I think I might as well upgrade too. Are these new falcons completely RROD free? Or will they just last longer before RROD hits again?

theron, I rekon you might have to the 1 that I returned! Had exactly the same problem and was completly unwatchable Samsung have really stuffed this 1 up. The F81 had everything that I was after on paper, but the problems with it are shocking, even more concerning is Samsung's attitude towards the problem. I'm now glad that I asked for a full refund straight away and didn't bother to wait (and still be waiting) for a replacement. My money will be spent on the sony X after Christmas...

My 46" had the wave problem, as well as a colour processing and pixelation problem. Took mine back for a full refund at JB hifi (I think a few of the 1's from the Melb GB also had similar problems)

I just took mine back for a refund. (My problem was much worse than the wave). I figure with the current stock shortage and no idea whether or not this problem will be fixed with the next batch, that I might look at something else. Hopefully Samsung fixes the problems soon!

Yeah, this is exactly what they said to me too. I rekon samsung are pretty aware of the problems with this panel now, seems like a very high number of the 1st batch all have problems. Yep they do, just ring up the retailer.

Call Myer and ask for a replacement, they are the retailer so the 14 day replacement warranty will go through them. Only problem is there isn't much stock at the moment, so you may have to wait like everyone else to get another panel.

Don't bother about calling samsung, they just tell you to ring myer and get a replacement. Make sure you ring Myer ASAP, for the 14 day replacement warranty. Only problem is you might have trouble getting 1 as there doesnt seem to be much stock available...

Hey Doug Did you get a replacement for yours yet? Is there enough stock? Seems this 1st batch is not a good 1 from samsung? (at least your 1's are watchable...mine is just stuffed!) And also if there is a delay with stock available how do we go about claiming our 26'"? Do we just fill out the forms with the current serial number? edit: Just got off the phone with the guys at preston, said they aren't sure when they are getting stock, have to call back on monday...

Hey guys (I posted this on the new F81 thread but can't seem to find a solution) Bought the new F81 46" today but having big problems with the picture!!! The picture coming out is really bad at the moment, it seems all pixelated with vertical lines coming through. I've played around with all the picture settings but still can't get it any better. And its definitely not the source. I checked on foxtel, USB hi-def pictures and FTA on the HD channels all the same. Even the menu colours are like this... Wondering if anybody else has had any problems??? See pics below: tried also unplugging everything, turning motion control off etc I think it might be the panel itself. These are pics from the panel with nothing plugged in Any help would be really appreciated!!!

Yep tried that too! As I said i've played around with every picture setting...nothing makes those lines go away. Even the colours are all stuffed. Its like it can't display the full range of colours (like on a computer screen when it changes to 256 colours instead of 32-bit) Not happy so far
