Reason for Selling

These came with my old VPI Classic 1 that I bought new from Krispy Audio in 2014. They are the standard feet but I replaced them with the HRX feet. I think the things in the forefront of the photos are isolators of some kind but they are not required to use the feet.

In excellent condition.

Based on available user reviews and community discussions, there is limited specific feedback about the VPI Classic 1 feet in isolation, though users discuss related isolation solutions for the Classic turntable.

## Sound Quality Improvements

Users report that upgraded isolation footers enhance audio performance. One user noted that Terrastone footers made "an overall improvement in detail and resolution across the board," though they acknowledged the stock "bearpaws" (likely referring to the classic feet) "did sound good." Another community member stated that Terrastone footers are "almost good as the Stillpoints Ultra 5 at a fraction of the cost," suggesting the stock feet may have room for improvement at the turntable's price point.

The stock Classic feet use Delrin and stainless steel construction designed to dissipate vibration and allow for leveling adjustment—important for tonearm balance. According to VPI's claims, these feet effectively isolate the turntable from feedback even when placed near large subwoofers.

## Build and Design

The Classic feet are machined Delrin isolation feet that connect to rubber isolators and screw into the turntable, making them "easily install[able]." They feature threaded construction for leveling adjustment, which is particularly important given the Classic's single-point tonearm balance.

## Limitations and Gaps

The search results provide minimal direct user commentary on the stock Classic feet's reliability or weaknesses. Most discussions focus on aftermarket upgrade options rather than detailed experiences with the factory feet, suggesting users may view them as a starting point rather than a final isolation solution.

No direct recent market listings for VPI Industries Classic 1 Feet Isolation Footers were found in AUD, limiting a precise estimate; these appear to be niche OEM parts or accessories for VPI Classic 1 turntables, often replaced by aftermarket options.

Comparable new isolation feet for VPI Classic series turntables include:
- VPI HW-40 Isolation Feet (official upgrade, set of 4): $475 USD (~AUD $710 at current exchange rates).
- MNPCTech custom aluminum feet with Sorbothane isolators (set of 4 for Classic 1/2/3): Price not listed, but positioned as affordable workshop-made replacements.
- VPI Universal Isolation Feet (4-pack): $150 USD (~AUD $225), per a retailer listing.

Estimated fair AUD market price range: AUD $200–800 for a new set of 4. Used prices are unavailable in results but would likely be 30–60% lower (AUD $100–400) depending on condition, as seen in general audiophile isolation feet markets.

Key factors affecting value:
- Condition: New OEM or custom sets command premiums; used depreciate due to wear on isolators or aluminum finishes.
- Compatibility and kit type: Varies by spacers/pads (e.g., HW-40 Kits A–E); Classic 1-specific threading adds value.
- Brand and origin: Official VPI higher than aftermarket like MNPCTech (USA-made).
- Market scarcity: Few dedicated listings amid broader VPI accessories; Australian pricing inflated (e.g., HW-40 at AUD $685 MSRP).
- Alternatives: High-rated used isolation feet (e.g., Stillpoints Ultra Mini) sell for ~AUD $500+ equivalent, influencing perceived value.

Prices in USD converted conservatively at ~1.5 AUD/USD; actual AUD listings scarce beyond turntables themselves (e.g., used VPI Classic Signature at AUD $6,500). Check local hi-fi forums like StereoNET for user-reported deals.
