Here is a USA built Aronov LS-906I, a dual mono preamplifier and power amplifier housed in the one chassis. I had came across an Aronov preamp and was so blown away by it that I went out of my way to find anything else by the brand. I had this paired with Tannoy Arden loudspeakers (now sold) and it was incredible. The Power Amp section takes 6550 tubes and the preamp section takes AX7/ECC83. This amp has detail, authority and powerful clear bass and it is certainly a compelling amplifier. In the 90's it retailed for 3K USD, equivalent of north of 9K AUD in today's money and the only other one for sale worldwide right now is going for 2,500 Euro, i.e. $4,840 AUD. Point being, for under 2K AUD I doubt you could even come close to the performance this amp offers.

The LS-960I utilizes high-quality switches and controls, and all inputs feature gold-plated RCA connectors. The preamplifier section features a DC power supply for the tubes, while output power is provided by 6550 Class AB tubes.
NB: This was serviced before I bought it and runs beautifully, unfortunately when re-fitting a selector switch it was over tightened and made a single crack in the glass in bottom right corner. It’s been haphazardly taped up but it never bothered me so I never interfered with it.
