Finish speaker manufacturer Amphion is currently making some changes to its Argon speaker lineup. The primary change is in the tweeter—moving from its current S-classified tweeter to the new X classification, which it started rolling out in the Krypton3X last year. 
 
The prices of the new models have gone up considerably over the new range, and so has the existing range. I have significantly helped absorb the price increases over the last six years, and as a result, prices have risen only marginally. 
I now have the opportunity to clear the existing S stock of Amphion. The RRP pricing reflects the price at parity or below in Europe for me to purchase any additional existing stock. Articulation function
 
The articulation function is designed to demagnetize the cartridge and the MC transformer using the signal current of music reproduced when magnetization of the cartridge has caused the sound quality to deteriorate. The articulation function can help to restore the cartridge to its original characteristics and maintain quality at a maximum level.
 
NF Type equalizer circuit
 
The NF type equalizer circuit in the E-250 features many of LUXMAN’s original and custom built parts. This equalizer has a high S/N ratio which reduces noise by connecting the first stage FET in parallel. A monaural switch when playing a monaural record is provided as well as a low cut switch that cuts out low frequency signals that can be generated by distorted records.
 
Input selection
 
The input can be selected from the front panel with ‘one touch’ operation from 2 players or a player with a twin arm. The option to easily change the cartridge type with respect to the input allows a favourite cartridge to be chosen for each phonograph record.

ODNF*, a unique feedback system that has been matured as epoch-making amplifier innovation that provides the natural sound quality of a non-feedback equipped amplifier by feeding back only the distorted components of the amplified signal. In 2021, when developing our M-10X flagship power amplifier, we delivered LIFES as a new amplification feedback engine in order to acquire more realistic, fresh and rich musicality and overwhelming audio performance and now it is at the heart of our flagship C-10X control amplifier, the first model upgrade in 10 years. For the volume control system, we refined our LECUA electronically controlled attenuator that switches over a series of fixed resistors arranged in order in the circuit. LECUA-EX, which reads the motion pulses of a rotary encoder entirely disconnected from the audio signal path, thoroughly suppresses sound quality deterioration and enables smooth volume control. Our LIFES preamplifier circuit is assembled with bespoke components and is directly connected to the LECUA-EX system, the four units being laid out in a fully balanced configuration in completely identical operational states to realize the ideal structure as a preamplifier.
 
Various control functions for controlling the audio system
 
As a flagship model that stands at the top of our lineup, the C-10X not only has high-performance preamplifier circuitry that confidently drives the power amplifiers connected in the following stage, but also has a rich array of functions as a control center that adjusts the environment of the entire audio system. Preamplifier gain has been increased to 15dB (previous model C-900u had 12dB), allowing accurate handling of a wide range of levels from various input sources without distortion. In addition to a variety of output mode switching functions that allow you to select unbalanced, balanced or bi-amplified configuration, depending on your system, you can also use the volume shift function in 0.5dB steps via the electronically controlled attenuator LECUA-EX main volume control system. This allows you to adjust left and right balance (L: -6dB to R: -6dB) without causing deterioration, adjust the level for each output system in bi-amp mode (±6dB for each system) and adjust the output level for different listening situations. If it also equipped with an input offset function (0 to -6dB for each input terminal) that allows you to align the levels of multiple input devices, achieving a wide variety of control functions despite its simple circuit configuration.

The C-10X expresses bold and delicate slanted edges between the chassis and the front panel. The three dimensional and sensual housing design, common to both the M-10X and D-10X, embodies the overwhelming presence and high musicality of a flagship model. The finely machined, hairline finished aluminum top panel creates a beautiful contrast to the blasted white front panel.
 
Fluorescent display with excellent visibility
 
The fluorescent display features a dimmer function and shines against the blasted white finished front panel with excellent visibility. We have also taken into consideration ease of viewing from the listening position. Normally this would display input and output volume levels, but from the remote control, the volume level display input and output volume levels, but from the remote control, the volume level display can be zoomed to four times the size. Additionally, the status of various function switches can be checked with LED indicators inside the acrylic panel.

Mission moved away from the traditional speaker enclosure with the M-iSphere and M-iSphere mini – hemispherical – designed speakers which contain a single driver engineered to create detailed and complex sound pressure radiation patterns. Our entry-level floorstanding loudspeaker, the Ovator S-400, is designed to deliver outstanding results in smaller rooms and with less ambitious levels of amplification than the S-600 and S-800. Equipped with Naim Audio BMR drive units and twin 165mm bass drivers, the S-400 employs much of the ground-breaking technology of its larger siblings.
 
It also features the same system of progressive decoupling. The plinth is isolated from the main enclosure by an innovative leaf-spring suspension system and the BMR drive unit itself sits in its own flexible suspension system, such is the attention to detail in getting the best possible sound.
 
The Ovator S-400’s balanced mode radiator (BMR) constitutes its most visible technological advance, yet the performance of this loudspeaker is equally the result of painstaking refinement in numerous elements of design, construction, and material selection.
 
For example, there is so much more to the musical reproduction of bass than low frequency extension, so the Ovator S-400 LF driver is designed not simply to play bass, but to do so with faultless musical accuracy. It incorporates a multitude of electro-acoustic details aimed at minimising distortion and compression, and the result is extended bass with peerless timing, dynamics, and pitch accuracy.
 
The Ovator S-400 crossover network is housed within the plinth and divides the audio signal between bass drivers and BMR with fourth order acoustic slopes at 700Hz. Each component selection is the result of intense technical analysis and listening, and the component arrangement is fundamentally informed by the layout and earthing techniques developed for Naim Audio power amplifiers. A crossover module suspension system and individual component decoupling ensures any chance of microphony is minimised.

The Mission E81 two-way speaker system is designed with the latest technology in acoustics. So, the speakers of the column are made according to the proprietary technology of Paramid: they are formed according to the principle of “sandwich & raquo ;. The polymer composition, which has incredible strength, is located between two rigid plates. This design makes the speaker hard and light at the same time, which provides excellent softening of the sound. In acoustics, the E81 uses neodymium magnets, sometimes called super-magnets, because of their incredible strength and small size. Magnets are ideal for audiophile acoustics, due to their strength, small weight and thermal stability. The space between the band radiator of the triple module and the magnet is filled with a ferromagnetic liquid. This performance softens the vibrations of the speaker. Since copper is an excellent electrical conductor, it is used in the E81 speakers for greater clarity of sound and resistance. Acoustics enables bi-wiring and bi-amping connections. Bi-Wiring (connection with two pairs of wires) connectors are used for separate connection of low- and high-frequency sections of speakers. All loudspeakers with bi-wiring connectivity are supplied with jumpers so that, if necessary, you can use a simple one-cable connection.
