As the third generation of Yamaha's TW-E3 class, the TW-E3C incorporates features typically found in more expensive earbuds, such as Ambient Sound, Gaming Mode and Multi-Point, while remaining the most affordable Yamaha earbuds in the line-up.

To say that the TW-E3C are feature-rich may well be selling them short as the list includes apX Adaptive, IPX5 waterproofing, 24 hours of battery life, and Bluetooth 5.2, just for starters. But, then, the app offers you different EQ presents you can customise, built-in mics for voice calls, and multi-point Bluetooth pairing for seamless audio switching.

Fancy using the new Yamaha true wireless for cable-free gaming soundtracks? Turn on the TW-E3C's gaming mode to cut down on latency. Additionally, you can quickly access voice assistants via the buds' touch sensor, while ambient sound mode lets you stay aware of your surroundings.

Yamaha says that it has carefully designed the TW-E3C with Listening Care in mind, too. Firstly, there is a clear path from the driver unit to the ear, with the sound nozzle and driver both on the same axis, ensuring music is delivered to the ear with a great deal of precision and clarity.

Additionally, mesh air ports have been placed in the middle of the nozzle to regulate air movement in front of the driver, while an additional port behind the driver regulates the airflow in the acoustic space within the housing. This, says Yamaha, provides a tight low range while ensuring a sense of volume.

Furthermore, the air hole at the rear of the driver improves the sense of separation between the low range and the mid to high range by adjusting the amount of air throughout the housing and aids imaging.

To prevent listening at excessive volume, Yamaha Listening Care restores the difficult-to-hear high and low frequencies at lower volume levels so that the original balance of the music is maintained. This allows you to enjoy your music at a lower volume without losing any of the detail and feeling the need to increase to unnecessary levels of volume.

Battery life is listed as up to 24 hours of listening (9 hours + 15 hours from the charging case).

Yamaha's TW-E3C true wireless earbuds are available now in a choice of six colours (grey, black, red, beige, green, and blue) for £89.
