The Greenwich Turntable introduces a new entry point to Wilson Benesch’s GMT analogue system and will debut at Audio Show Deluxe on March 21–22, 2026.

Built around the ALPHA–OMEGA drive platform used in both the Prime Meridian and GMT One, Greenwich serves as the entry model, with structure, damping, and isolation systems becoming more advanced up the range.
The GMT One debuted at Munich High End 2024, establishing the ALPHA-OMEGA platform as the basis for Wilson Benesch’s high-end analogue design. The Prime Meridian followed, enhancing structure and damping while retaining the core drive technology.

The 64 kg Greenwich Turntable features the Wilson Benesch OMEGA Direct Drive, a patent-pending 15-inch slotless synchronous motor with a radial-force design.
The large-diameter OMEGA Drive motor provides a uniform electromagnetic flux, ensuring perfectly synchronous movement between the stator and rotor. Wilson Benesch emphasises that it does not need complex feedback compensation. This is a hand-built, high-performance direct-drive system designed specifically for top-quality analogue playback.

A major feature of the OMEGA Drive is its ultra-low-torque 4 Hz motor, which operates below the range audible to humans. Its low operating frequency also avoids the wow/flutter region, which can affect sound quality.
The OMEGA Direct Drive system also works without any sideways forces on the bearing, a major achievement that creates optimal plain-bearing conditions for the first time in turntable design.
By eliminating sideways pressure, the system reduces noise, friction, and vibration for cleaner playback.

The OMEGA Drive is powered by the precise ALPHA Drive, weighing 30 kg. This advanced, quartz-referenced 3-phase Class A system provides careful current control and accurate rotation at selectable speeds of 33.3, 45, and 78 rpm.
You can configure the Greenwich Turntable with the GRAVITON Ti tonearm, TESSELLATE Ti cartridge, R1 Carbon Rack, and an optional VTA Control System to build a complete Greenwich System.

Wilson Benesch encourages owners to begin with the Greenwich model and, as their needs and preferences evolve, to upgrade to the Prime Meridian and eventually the GMT One. This upgrade path allows users to retain the core ALPHA-OMEGA drive system and compatible parts, ensuring a seamless transition as they move through the GMT Collection.

Production of the Wilson Benesch Greenwich Turntable begins in April 2026. It is available to order now at an MSRP (turntable only) of £82,000 | €98,000 | US$130,000. Standard leadtime 12-14 weeks.
Available upgrades include the Clear Platter and Rotor Upgrade, VTA Control System, R1 Carbon Rack, GRAVITON Ti Tonearm, and TESSELLATE Ti Cartridge.
