WiiM Sound Lite Joins Smart Speaker Range

WiiM expands its audio lineup with Sound Lite, a minimalist hi-res smart speaker.

WiiM Sound Lite is pitched as a compact, smart speaker that can operate on its own, be paired for true two-channel stereo, or integrated into multi-room or 5.1 home cinema setups with other WiiM devices, including the recently launched WiiM Sound.

This more minimalist smart speaker offering drops the display but does hand you voice control via the optional WiiM Voice Remote 2.

WiiM Sound Lite delivers up to 24-bit/192 kHz hi-res playback and a claimed 100 W peak output from a 4-inch long-throw woofer and dual 1-inch silk-dome tweeters.

Living up to its smart cred, the Sound Lite packs WiiM’s AI RoomFit automatic room optimisation, which only requires your smartphone.

The Sound Lite connects via Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, or Ethernet, meaning you can stream directly from your favourite apps, including Google Cast, Spotify/TIDAL/Qobuz Connect, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Roon, and Logitech Media Server. Multi-room grouping works across all WiiM devices, including Sound, Amps, Streamers, and Sub Pro.

Naturally, the Sound Lite smart speaker is supported by the reliable WiiM Home App, letting you control playback, EQ, presets, alarms, and device groups from a single location. Additional features include Smart Presets and Music Alarms, which help incorporate listening into daily routines. Advanced EQ settings allow users to customise sound for their environment and preferences.

The WiiM Sound Lite (in Black or White finishes) will be available from early January, with pre-orders open before Christmas, with a suggested retail price of A$399 | £229 | US$229 | €269.
