Revealed today from the company’s dual headquarters in Paris and East Hampton, the free update introduces a redesigned user interface and updated Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D implementations. More than just a cosmetic refresh, this forthcoming release retools the Altitude platform from the ground up while preserving core features like Trinnov Optimizer™, WaveForming™, and Remapping™.

Trinnov Audio CEO, Arnaud Laborie commented:
We have significantly updated the Trinnov Altitude experience, with new features, streamlined operation, and a user-friendly interface that will improve the experience for professionals and consumers alike. True to our commitment to long-term value, we are offering these watershed improvements as a free software upgrade.
Trinnov says the revamped interface is designed to simplify everything from daily operation to deep calibration, without compromising the power and flexibility the Altitude line is known for. The modernised UI aims to improve usability for both professional integrators and end-users—crucial for a platform used in some of the world’s most demanding home cinema and studio environments.

Alongside the interface changes, users will gain access to Trinnov’s most advanced implementations yet of Dolby Atmos, DTS:X Pro, and Auro-3D. The update also supports Dolby Surround upmixing on wide channels, offering greater precision and control in immersive audio setups.
According to Trinnov, this release represents more than visual polish or codec tweaks. At its core, it introduces architectural changes that lay the groundwork for future capabilities. It’s a continuation of the company’s software-first approach, where ongoing development and backward-compatible improvements take priority over hardware replacement cycles.

The updated software will begin shipping on newly manufactured Altitude16 and Altitude32 units before the end of the year. However, for existing Altitude owners, the rollout is scheduled for 2026, following staged validation and quality control. This isn’t a casual firmware update either—Trinnov confirms an authorised dealer must perform it and will require full system reconfiguration and recalibration.

For those eager to upgrade, Trinnov recommends contacting their authorised integrator. The company told StereoNET, that "upgrading is necessary to benefit from future updates, but there is no urgency". Full support for current software versions will remain in place throughout the transition period. To help integrators and users prepare, Trinnov will offer hands-on demonstrations and training during CEDIA Expo 2025 in Denver this September, 2025.
