There's a new member joining SVS's R|Evolution, and it squeezes into an 11-inch cabinet.

Housed in a compact 278 x 299 x 274mm [HxWxD] sealed cabinet, the 3000 Micro R|Evolution features dual-opposing, force-balanced drivers, a 1,200-watt continuous (4,000+ watt peak) MOSFET amplifier, and a 295MHz DSP, described as the most advanced ever in a home subwoofer.
SVS’s latest micro subwoofer design claims a 20Hz – 230Hz ±3dB frequency response while offering music and home cinema devotees “size-defying output, unrivalled DSP power, and class-leading musical accuracy.”

To achieve this, the 3000 Micro R|Evolution uses a pair of active, side-firing 9-inch high-excursion drivers custom-built in-house and designed to maximise output from a small enclosure.
We’re told that using a force-cancelling design results in reducing unwanted cabinet vibration - a major limitation in traditional compact subwoofer design. Moreover, force-balanced drivers obviate the need for a passive radiator, commonly deployed in micro subwoofers but always eschewed by SVS because of what it describes as the resultant “bloated, one-note bass output.”

Powering the dual-drivers is a proprietary 1,200 W continuous/4,000+ W peak R|Evolution amplifier. The amp promises to combine the efficiency of Class D with the ability to deliver massive current through fully discrete MOSFETs. The upshot here, according to SVS, is “outstanding real-world subwoofer performance at all drive levels.”
Meanwhile, a digitally monitored SVS Switch Mode Power Supply optimises performance by ensuring a consistent 160V rail voltage for the amplifier, while 56-bit processing and premium DACs with 120 dB SNR should deliver the requisite headroom with very low distortion.

The Analog Devices DSP manages the amplifier, motor, and driver ecosystem. This, we are reliably informed, is “the most powerful and sophisticated ever deployed in a home audio subwoofer.” The bragging rights come with six times the processing power of previous SVS generations.
In addition to governing performance, user control, and tuning, the DSP monitors every function of the amplifier, stabilising AC voltage delivery to the power supply and maintaining consistent peak output.

Calibration and control are managed via the SVS Subwoofer Control Smartphone App. Here, you can adjust volume, low-pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain compensation, and up to six parametric EQ bands. Three onboard memory presets are available for fast system adjustments. Auto Room EQ is scheduled for Q2 as a software upgrade.
The cabinet design features “extra-thick” MDF side baffles and rigid internal bracing to support the active dual-driver assembly and to ensure an acoustically inert environment. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs round things off.

The SVS 3000 Micro R|Evolution in Piano Gloss Black or Piano Gloss White is available from May 2026, priced at £1,149 | A$2,199.
