StereoNET at JIAVS 2025: The Future of Sound in Jakarta

The 11th Edition of the IHEAC Jakarta International Audio Video Show (JIAVS 2025) opens today and runs through to the end of the weekend.
StereoNET is on the ground in Jakarta, Indonesia, capturing the latest high-end Hi-Fi and AV innovations as Indonesia’s premier showcase returns with renewed international ambition.
Organised by the Indonesia High End Audio Club (IHEAC), this year’s exhibition marks a significant evolution for the long-running event, adopting a new global identity and a thought-provoking theme: “What is the Future of Sound — Analog or Digital?”
Building on last years show, IHEAC Chairman Herman Chandra says the addition of “International” to the show’s name reflects more than a cosmetic change:
We want JIAVS to be more than just a marketplace for audio-video products. It’s also an educational and interactive platform that connects audiophiles, creators, and industry professionals from around the world. This year, we’re inviting visitors to explore the boundaries of sound technology — is the future analog or digital?
The theme speaks directly to a global conversation within the audio community. Digital streaming and DSP-driven systems continue to redefine accessibility and performance, yet the warmth and tactility of vinyl and valve amplification remain irresistible to purists.
Herman added:
In this digital age, many people are rediscovering the authenticity of vinyl. There’s a sense of nostalgia and a pursuit of purity that can’t be replicated. JIAVS aims to bring both worlds together in one experience — it’s not just about hearing, it’s about feeling.
Over nearly two decades, the show has established itself as Indonesia’s premier high-end audio and video exhibition, now occupying three levels of Jakarta’s Fairmont Hotel — 3, 16, and 17 — with 40 exhibitors across 55 demo rooms. Visitors can expect to encounter both local craftsmanship and world-class engineering, with Indonesian brands such as Traumakustik, D’Audio, Aurel Bryan, Anda Audio, Horn Studio, Two Way, SB Acoustics, and Polytron joining a strong lineup of international names. Exhibitors include Magico, Göbel High End, Wadax, Riviera Labs, Pilium Audio, CH Precision, Taiko Audio, and Shunyata Research, all showcasing their latest flagship systems in purpose-built listening rooms designed to emulate luxury home environments.
Beyond two-channel audio, JIAVS 2025 embraces the broader AV lifestyle, with immersive home-cinema experiences, a Sound Quality Car Audio Competition on the Fairmont rooftop, and a range of interactive activities, including talk shows, podcasts, portable audio contests, and even virtual golf.

As in previous years, the event aims to balance education, entertainment, and commerce — giving both newcomers and experienced audiophiles an opportunity to experience the very best in sound reproduction. Herman told StereoNET:
The Jakarta International Audio Video Show 2025 is not only a celebration of technology but also of the culture of listening to great music. We hope more newcomers to the audio hobby can discover the joy of experiencing high-quality sound in their own homes.
JIAVS 2025 will run from 7–9 November 2025 at the Fairmont Jakarta, managed by Megapro Communications in collaboration with IHEAC and Blibli, the official payment partner, which will offer attendees exclusive reward points and instalment options for purchases made during the show.

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
