SOUND & VISION Festival - Pro-Ject

Pro-Ject Audio has been reviving music since 1990. Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, at a time when European factories were closing in droves, founder Heinz Lichtenegger went against the herd and bought a turntable factory in the small Czech town of Litovel. Retaining the experienced staff and re-imagining classic minimal turntable designs they went to work constructing low cost, design-oriented turntables that would help people rediscover music the way it should be.

Pro-Ject's number one selling turntable, the Debut Carbon DC, has won almost every turntable award in it's category and for good reason. It features a range of technology, style and importantly sound quality attributes usually unheard in it's price range.

Pro-Ject will also be showing off the popular 1 Xpression Carbon Classic which features the exclusive to Pro-Ject Ortofon 2M Silver cartridge, a two piece platter, VTA adjustable tonearm and a range of finishes including Mahogany, Olive, gloss white and piano black.

The star of the room though will undoubtedly be the Xtension 9. EISA recently awarded this turntable best analogue source of 2014 and for good reason. This 16kg mass loaded turntable looks and sounds the goods and will undoubtedly impress. It will feature one of the recently revived Kiseki new stock moving coil cartridges based on the Japanese classics from the '70s.
