Solidsteel UL Series: Elevate Your Sound, Not Just Your Speakers

Solidsteel’s UL Series speaker stands are a next-generation range designed to replace the Italian company’s highly regarded NS Series of loudspeaker supports.

The UL range includes the UL-4 (40cm tall) and the UL-6 (60cm tall), with both models supplied with a 16×16 cm top plate as standard. There is an optional 20x20 cm version you can request to accommodate a wider range of loudspeakers and installation requirements.

The UL stands feature a structural core formed by two rectangular aluminium profiles. These are mounted on a steel base plate and topped by two hollow TPU frames.

We are told that these elements work in concert with the MDF top plate to enhance acoustic performance.

Solidsteel explains that the combination of the aluminium profiles and hollow TPU frames optimises mechanical damping between the loudspeaker and the structure. The design is said to achieve “effective decoupling” between the vertical stand and the base. As other products in the range have been scientifically verified, we are encouraged to believe the claims.
